On termine bientôt l'automne et on profite des derniers rayons du soleil... Du coup, je t'ai concocté ce petit remix une poquito caliente du groupe The Spinners et leur célèbre titre soul "It's a Shame" (1970) écrit par Stevie Wonder, Lee Garett et Syreeta Wright.
Un air de bossa nova, un rythme reggaeton, un mood latino et une section de cuivre pour pimenter le tout.
Mets des glaçons dans ton mojito et laisse toi aller... En toute indécence bien entendu...

(Matt)  This is the first of a multi-volume journey through my earliest musical memories - tracks that I loved or made an impression on me while growing up in the Great White North.

I was born in 1969 and grew up listening to the radio and the music my Mom played. Good thing she had great taste in music and a ton of records.

These Memories mixes are in approximate chronological order allowing for song choice, flow, mixing order, and keeping like songs in complimentary keys.

After each track I try my best to credit the underlying work and the year of its release.

I am a House DJ, so all of the tracks I have acquired over the years, be it vinyl or digital, are remixed at dance floor bpm.

Let me know what tracks are your favorites. Enjoy the white labels, remixes, and bootlegs that you won't find anywhere else.

I'm a producer from Houston, TX, I spent a few years in Cyprus, and now I'm back stateside. I've been a DJ since 98', and a producer since about 08'.

Ropatt (aka Ron Patton) is a dynamic pop, jazz, and hip-hop artist who first made waves with his 2003 album Biggie Was Here. Hailing from Michigan, Ron dove into songwriting during college and became a staff writer for the legendary Holland-Dozier-Holland team. 

Co-founding Baywest Records in Northern California, his work as a producer and arranger has been featured on major outlets like Oxygen and Animal Planet. Ropatt is also an author, having written Fables & Proverbs: Songwriting's Secret Weapon and Alternate Reels: Recasting Iconic Movie Roles, both available on Amazon.
