In this upcoming issue of The Comic Section Podcast, we kick off with the exciting news that Batman is set to make history on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The legendary superhero will be the first comic book character to receive a star, marking the 2,790th star in the Motion Pictures category. DC’s president Jim Lee and SVP Anne DePies will attend the ceremony, where Batman will also be awarded a Guinness World Record as the first superhero with a star.

We then discuss the highly anticipated crossover between Transformers and G.I. Joe. I saw a statistic in college in my social psychology about women not reporting domestic abuse enough to the police and the ones that did weren’t taken seriously. Viewed as a “personal matter.” So it inspired me to write from the perspective of an abuser having an epiphany about his behavior. Shedding light to the difficulties in today’s society and how we handle domestic abuse.

Lyrics:

Chorus 1: I won’t beat my woman anymore now. Because she’s on the ground.
Empathy is fueling me. Burning my pride. Because enough is enough.

Verse 1: I was comfortable making an excuse.  Acting out of anger. I took a day’s worth of stress and bashed it down into her skull.
