i was really looking forward to my 2nd meeting with the very accomplished charles edwards after my 1st tryst with him in mumbai when `the lord of the rings : the rings of power` season 1 released and the asia junket was held in mumbai city. this time it was destination singapore where amazon prime video india flew a few of us senior journalists down for the red carpet and premiere for season 2. charles wecolmed me warmly and along with the very talented charlie vickers (who plays the darklord sauron) proceeded to give me a splendid interview covering a lot of ground. in particular all that is happening in the world of the elvin smith celebrimbor whom he portrays. edwards is a legend in british theatre and has won 2 SAG awards for his role in `the crown`. he can also be seen on tv and film in `downton abbey` , `the duke`, `the witches` and others. watch out for vickers - he has the easy charm of a future hollywood blockbuster star and 2 seasons of rings of power have already sent him in the direction of worldwide stardom. enjoy this podcast and do tell me what you feel post hearing it in the comments below!
