The Empress takes the role of Undyne. She already had a major sense of resentment to Bow Kid before (however misplaced it may have *initially* been on other routes,) but as her cat goons are mercilessly whittled down to nothing in the Entropy route... something finally snaps, beyond the point of no return. She's consumed by the urge for vengeance for not just herself, but for all of her Nyakuza (the only ones she even *remotely* cared about aside from herself,) leading to her bringing out something that hadn't been thought about for years: a prototypical battle suit made for one of the Conductor's movies, stolen and (somewhat amateurishly) modified to be WAY more deadly by Empress' crew. It was intended as a "last resort" trump card, and is being used as just that in a sense. However selfish and ignoble her motivations may be, and as MUCH as people outside of the Metro fear/dislike her, Empress' final stand here will (ironically enough) determine ALL of their fates.

So! I'll be going back to work on Tuesday, albeit with some restrictions. Wish I'd gotten more done during my leave of absence, but oh well. (Also ik the name on this one is kinda weak sauce, but I can't think of ANYTHING else that even remotely fits the context soooooo XP)
I'm still putting some finishing touches on one of the other tracks I commissioned, so I'm going even more out of order here with the Empress tracks for the Entropy route! In a bit of a parallel with the MEGALOVANIA (and also cause I thought it was fitting,) I actually suggested Antasma's Theme from Mario & Luigi Dream Team as a stylistic reference when commissioning this from Shade. He did a *fantastic* job of taking that and making it his own, while still being fitting for Empress (especially on this route.)

(P.S. Yeah as you can tell from the included dialogue at the top of the description, it's been on-and-off, but I overhauled a key part of the Empress' lore for this AU so that it would make at least a BIT more sense. The overall AU doc goes more in depth!)

The Empress takes the role of Undyne. ...Unfortunately for her however, the battle suit's own inherent teething troubles -- combined with the poorly-executed tech alterations not helping matters -- means that it's eventually unable to withstand anymore damage, suffering a critical error and beginning to self-destruct. The Empress winds up going out in such a blaze of glorious fury, there aren't even any *ashes* left where she once stood.

To start off... I'm not even gonna lie. I couldn't come up with a good title for this one to save my dick... so BIG thanks to Jacket of Diamonds (@coat-of-red) for the name. I'm a real mf Asgore when it comes to naming things X'D
Anyhow, a bit later than I said I'd share it, but here's the AU's BAATH replacement! Similarly to the BTERTD replacement, I mentioned The Final Antasma Battle from Mario & Luigi Dream Team as a stylistic reference for this track when commissioning it (parallels to the MEGALOVANIA + I thought it was fitting for Empress, especially in Entropy.) Doubt I'll ever release it, but this time I also provided a "test" mashup of sorts with some of the ideas I was looking for. Shade took everything and ran with it in GLORIOUS fashion. I deliberately went with very non-traditional choices here, and he knocked it right out of the park -- and even improved on my initial idea in a fair few regards!

Upon first encountering Bow, the Empress doesn't have anything clever to say. No intimidation, not even a *facial expression.* She just immediately and FEROCIOUSLY begins chasing Bow until eventually losing her. ...And unforunately this won't be the ONLY chase Bow has to endure.

Wanted to have the "Undyne" track redone (more on that in the second upload of this trilogy,) and then I realized "Hey. Since I commissioned Shade for the BTERTD/BAATH, maybe I should approach him again for this batch." So that's exactly what I did, and he knocked everything out of the park once again!
For this particular track, I suggested this Sans chase theme (https://soundcloud.com/dumbdumbstupid/dusttale-sans-chase-theme) as a stylistic inspiration. He really ran with it and made it fit this AU's interpretation of the Empress so well!! Hope y'all enjoy. :3 --Ashley

As Bow is close to escaping the Metro and heading to the Mafia Flows, the Empress finally makes a direct move on her. After a speech about her hurt that (to Bow) is rather cryptic, the Empress pounces and the battle begins.

Finally, a version of the "Undyne" track (sorta) that DOESN'T suck ass!! (It's now rolled in with the "NGAHHH!!!" slot as well, hence its placement in the OST.)
Anyhow uhhhh ye not long after I originally uploaded "Beware of Cat" last year, I became insanely unhappy with it and was QUICK to decanonize it. The Empress having a "forboding" track like that for her *first* track just... straight up didn't make sense, given how things have tracked with her in this AU. Really glad I had it redone, and can now say I have something for this slot that I'm happy with. :)
This iteration of the track deliberately drew inspiration from Bowser's theme in Mario & Luigi Dream Team (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0f-buIrr_RM) cause fUCK I LOVE THE DREAM TEAM OST BAYBEEEEEE, and also cause it rly fits this AU's Empress. Hope y'all enjoy! :3 --Ashley
