This is the Break Jam #5, live created during the intermission of The Great Gatsby currently performing at Theater Osnabrück. Everything you hear is improvised on the spot by Jonathan Strauch on Saxophon and keys and Fiete Wachholtz on drums, samples and ableton. Nothing is prepared. Every night a surprise.

Hey beautiful people!
This is #7 in a series of totally improvised music happening during the intermission of The Great Gatsby - a theatre production currently running at Theater Osnabrück, Germany.
This series is slowly coming to an end since there are only three shows left until this show closes on October 31st.
But that doesn't mean Jonathan and I aren't still adventurous! We never now which way we go. And this time around Jonathan chose an interesting route starting with our own iteration of a telephone synth.

In the year that Derby Theatre celebrates 50 years in its present home (originally as Derby Playhouse), Laura talks about the year of events surrounding the celebrations, and the current work of the theatre, including 'The Great Gatsby' (a co-production with Pitlochry Festival Theatre), the Derby opening night of which took place on the day of the interview.
