this is a I wrote song for my late friend zach hailey (aka soundcloud prodigy thewaterboy). 

zach was the first person to believe in my music journey and taught me so much of what I know about production and being an artist. he encouraged me to write and write and write, and was such a close person to me and my creativity throughout high school and into college. 

grief is weird and mean. when I learned he passed it shattered me so deeply. he was the first person close to me I ever lost. I have written countless songs about our friendship, but none of them captured what I wanted to say: who he was, how he was, and what it felt to lose such a light in my life. he was a scorpio just like me, born October 31st, just a week before me. we always joked about how we were soul twins and how our friendship was bound to happen supernaturally or something. even though hes been gone for 2 years, I still feel him with me in the aether. I love you man, and im sorry we didnt get more time on this earth together to laugh, write and record music, and just exist together longer.
