➡️ Notre invité de la semaine est Guillaume Fabius.

🎓 Après des études à l’École du Louvre, Guillaume se spécialise en arts du XIXème et du XXème siècle, tout média confondu, et intègre l’institut Courtaud  à Londres. Il réalise un premier stage en conservation au Tate Britain où il contribue alors à développer l’exposition de 2021 consacrée au peintre anglais JMW Turner.

🖼️ De retour en France, c’est dans la Ville Lumière que Guillaume poursuit son parcours de jeune conservateur. D’abord au Musée d’Orsay puis au Musée de l’Orangerie, il collabore au commissariat de plusieurs expositions temporaires, dont une actuellement visible et ce jusqu’au 1er juillet prochain intitulée Robert Ryman – Le regard en acte.

-the dolphin is from a sesame street kids 45, it was the sound to tell you when to turn the page lol
-that's Mr. Cee-Lo Green in there with the "huh"s
-the cicadas are from my back yard
-the first time I ever saw the xx was on SNL, playing this song and grinning from ear to ear. The look on their faces, the way they all looked at each other like "holy shit we are doing SNL, and nailing it! - i became an instant fan
-i wanted this to go even longer and have even more space between the phrases, but it's already longer than the original track

Amidst the lush Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, The Sleeping Cliffs unleash powerful soundscapes with amplifier feedback and pulsing bass drums. The music is a layered mosaic of fuzz drenched guitars, bombastic percussion, and vintage synths, melodically engineered as a turbine of soulful, rhythmic, electro-rock.  Todd Glidewell, the multi-instrumentalist behind the project, describes himself as “genre-fluid”, drawing from rock, indietronica, funk, soul, psychedelia, post-rock, and alternative. Wearing those diverse influences like a technicolor cape, his tracks consistently showcase a distinctive analog/electronic groove that defines The Sleeping Cliffs’ signature sound.

Nous interrogerons ensemble les troubles de notre temps et ses devenirs, mais aussi les manières possibles d'ouvrir et d'étayer nos imaginaires politiques.
