i found a conch shell on the beach
the breeze was cold and no one was near
the surface was pink and blue and white
and in my hand the shell was ghostly light

i threw it into the water
as the tide slowly came in
i watched as the ebb and the lilting
drew it down into the depths

the empty carapace by the seaside
floats away into the setting sun
toward a dreaming shore, the pieces wash away
the life within long gone

swaying, serene cerulean sea
can you carry me away?
and shatter me, make me anew
in the evening rays

i started to walk along the shore
in every sparkle memories aglow
the footprints of earlier retreat
were carved into the sand beneath my feet

is the path before me the right way? (the right way?)
will it take me to where I wish to be? (where I wish to be?)
or will I walk alone by the cliffside (by the cliffside?)
until I’m swallowed up by the sea? (by the sea?)

It’s time to recognise it
I’ve  put it off somehow 
But now I’ve come to realise it
Time has had its way
And no one can escape it
No matter what you try to do
The sands of time will get to you

It’s true we’ve had our ups and downs
We never will agree on
Which one of us is standing
On the side of history
But who knows what the future holds
Events will ebb and flow 
The people change their point of view
And when and why we’ll never know

Perhaps there’ll be a time 
When all will be accepted
And those who’ve seen it all before
Are valued and perhaps respected
Reason leads us to

This is the instrumental version of No No is a track that I've taken a different approach on. I wanted to let the emotion do the heavy lifting and so I've purposefully kept instruments and the beat under control so that the emotion is  left exposed with simplicity. I have a broad taste in music and lean towards Pop, EDM, TripHop, 
 and Cinematic styles. I like experimenting and fusing styles together to create tracks that have feeling and emotion.

I love creating music and letting it develop its own style as I create it. I think it gives more life and creativity to the track rather than trying to force it to be one style or another.
