Almost a decade ago, we released our very first music video "Superstitions". Today, "Distorted and Sweet" stands as both a continuation and a reflection sharper, more mature, yet carrying echoes of where we started.

this video embraces raw contrasts, mirroring the song’s tension between fragility and defiance. A journey through rough edges, familiar roads, and the weight of identity.

Distorted & Sweet

This song was born from observing a destructive pattern: the way human conviction, in any sphere (political, theological, social), solidifies into dogma.

What led me to write it was an exploration of the architecture of certainty. I observed how the initial passion for an idea—the "Fire"—is quickly co-opted by tribal psychology, transforming into a "Cage." I analyzed the cognitive dissonance of individuals and groups who, in the name of "salvation" or "truth," build walls, burn bridges, and cause immense pain, often while firmly believing in their good intentions.

What I feel in this track is the catharsis of this deconstruction. The music maps the journey from dogmatic rage ("Fire, catch it!") to the vulnerability of self-reflection. The climax ("I held my truth like a weapon") is the confession of my own complicity in this pattern.

In the end, the song doesn't offer a new certainty. It offers liberation through doubt. The question, "Who am I if I'm not fighting?" is the core of it all: a philosophical identity crisis that questions whether we define ourselves only by our opposition to what we hate.

September Again mélange des essences de trip-hop, de stoner, de post rock, et d’electro, pour trouver une structure, un sens, une vibration commune, et les libérer dans une musique rock épidermique puissante et atmospherique .

Le quatuor annecien alterne riffs abrupts et sons cristallins, boucles électro hypnotiques, vagues denses et ambiances aériennes aux couleurs saturées.

Projet couvédepuis 2012, années de complicité, de complexité, de recherches, de marrades, pendant lesquelles le trio harmonique – John / PM / Loïc - teste ses compositions, casse ses structures, ses zones de confort. 
Durant cette période, l'alternance de différents batteurs au sein du groupe lui apportera de la richesse et de la solidité lors de ses passages sur scène.

September Again né officiellement en septembre 2015, année de rencontre de son batteur Pierre Olivier. Mélant groove et puissance, l'alchimie est évidente, spontanée. Le line up est alors figé.

Début 2017 sort « Insomniac », premier LP de 12 titres.
Un an après la sortie de son clip «Superstitions» et du single «Falls», cet album représente l’aboutissement de ces 5 années de recherches, d’exploration, et de façonnage de l'identitédu groupe.

Pour les 4 membres du groupe, un extrait de chronique de Raphaël Duprez - Indiemusic.fr - renvoie particulièrement à ce que leur musique tente de véhiculer: « Soufflant le chaud et le froid avec une dévotion complète pour ses compositions, le groupe se montre obsessionnel dans ses intentions, alternant moments apaisés et faussement conciliants, avec des tourments diaboliques et à la frénésie communicative . September Again délivre un disque à la progression inexorable, entrecoupé de douceurs fraîches et glacées se métamorphosant en lave incandescente pour mieux valoriser un langage à la fois furieux, destructeur et radicalement humain dans ses mouvements d’humeur »

Souhaitant autant que faire se peut, s’écarter des étiquettes et des boites, September Again préfère citer les groupes qui les ont marqué au fer rouge, auprès desquels ils puisent leur énergie, leurs émotions, et essayent de créer leur couleur propre :
