People across the country are posting pictures of their favourite seal products in support of Inuit seal hunting.  The #sealfie campaign is raising awareness on subsistence living and affordable food. 

Inuit throat singer, Tanya Tagaq posted a picture on twitter of her baby lying next to a harvested seal. As soon as the picture went online she got backlash from online animal rights activists.  

Her twitter page flooded with messages of hatred, violence, and racism. One woman even started a petition to have Tanya's children taken away from her. 

I caught up with Tanya in March to hear her more about her #sealfie experience.
