MIX365 Radio Frequency Festival 2025 Last Day Dj Live Set - Mixed by Darth Veis

In June 2022 we got the terrible news that Mark had unexpectedly passed away. He was someone who loved: clubbing, his friends, the harder styles of dance music and had a sense of humour drier than the Atacama desert. I DJed with him in clubs, barns, bedroom and more kitchens that I care to remember. A mutual friend put his vinyl up for sale in order to support his family and I jumped at the chance to help out. I've created a mix using that vinyl. They have been well loved and played to death. I did my best to remove as much snap, crackle and pop as I could pre and post-production. However, these records are 25 years old and have been up and down the country filling him with joy.

This is a tribute to Mark Hanby.

Welcome to my SoundCloud page, I am a DJ from Newcastle upon Tyne, 

I regularly play Techno, Tech-House, and generally a bit of everything on DJ Techneck's NRG Radio Show every Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday 

Influences on my sound from the past would be the likes of Carl Cox, Joey Beltram,  DJ Easygroove, and a tonne of others. There are too many to list! 

Modern DJs who influence me are Boys Noize, Mall Grab, Kettama, Sara Landry, T78.
Also, a tonne of DJs and producers on SoundCloud who are big inspirations to my sound.

I've been Djing now for over 30 years, and I love it more than ever. I do this as a hobby now just in my spare time and generally just have fun with it.

I'm not perfect by any means, and I never think I am, I just love all types of electronic music, and i love to bring new sounds to the ears of the listeners. I always have done.
