The greatest news that you will ever hear
You cannot receive no matter if it’s clear
It takes the Spirit working to be given ears
Then and only then will you hold it dear 
We’re a walking corpse - just dead bones
To the grave we each will head home 
Need an operation or the medication 
From the great Physician through regeneration  
Need to turn the page, before it all begun 
So I’ll take you back 
to Genesis 1 
See the Earth is formless and a sorry plight 
Then the Spirit hovers and creates the Light
So the same is true for the heart of man
We are lost and slain 
we would all be damned
But the Spirit comes
Awakens us from sleep
Then the light of Christ
Begins to set us free

The Spirit that’s within - brand new heart you re-create in us 
I was there, lying dead at the bottom of the pit 
Didn’t care I was dwelling in the grime and the grit 
Then the lights came on
Thought I’m too far gone 
But the LORD bought me back and He said I was His 
T’was the Word, He implanted 
in a second, new affection 
Believing heart, mouth confessing
