SWITCH & SAM TOLSON - Confident

Anthony Tolson, a bass player who has performed with Ne-Yo, Young Jeezy, Kelis and J. Moss, was shot and killed in Detroit on Christmas Eve, the Detroit Free Press reports. He was 33 years old. 

On June 14th, 2015, Tolson and I began working on a conceptual song, built while playing together at church. 

We joked about how impactful the song would be, and made plans to record it at the top of the year.. 

So, when I heard the news on Christmas morning, to help stop the tears from falling, I went to the studio and began recording. 

Tolson, this one's for you, brother.

Music Producer & Engineer, Certified was born in Baltimore, MD. He developed a passion for music as early as grade school. Certified started out as a singer/songwriter. In 2003, he began making Hip-Hop mixtapes and also began producing/engineering for Baltimore artist, Abraham "Brams" Pleah. During studio sessions, Certified developed a passion for audio engineering and decided to study music composition and technology at Towson University. He graduated in 2007 with a Bachelors of Science in Electronic Media/Audio Production.
 
In 2007, Certified began making beats thanks to DJ ScotteeLP and James "BKS" Edjouma (G-Production/Universal SRC). Both have mentored and helped develop Certified's style for his original compositions and his skills as a producer. After graduation, Certified began engineering sessions in the Washington D.C. metro area.
