Organic Evolution August 2024

From the heart of Argentina’s wine country, Tomas Garcia has consistently produced a fine vintage of underground dance music from his Mendoza home. Now joining the Proportion roster with his unique brand of progressive house he hits new heights with 'The Beginning / The End Of The Path.'

Continuing the dance friendly vibe, 'The End Of The Path' is built around another chest-thumping kick, head-shaking percussive groove and cavernous bassline. A metronomic arp sits across the mid-range with ease gradually rising in open-filtered intensity before dropping back into the powerful rhythmic foundation. A breakdown of epic proportions allows the rippling arp to rise to the fore once more before a series of dynamic spot effects and growling bass take centre stage. Hitting its stride again in the third movement, the track explodes into life with dramatic rhythmic force and a chorus of stereo-panned synth motifs and a relentless energy.

With a deep-rooted passion for electronic music that started at a young age, Tomas quickly found himself drawn to the underground scene, eventually immersing himself in the world of progressive house. In 2022, Tomas made waves with the release of his debut track, "The Way of Life." This release garnered significant attention, especially with an acclaimed remix by the legendary Dmitry Molosh. Since then, he has established himself on some of the most respected labels in the industry, including Proportion, Mango Alley, Droid9, Slc-6, Ah Digital, and Onedotsixtwo. Now, Tomas makes debut on Juicebox Music with his track "Cancel," featured on the Fables 003 compilation. About Daniel Izvori:

Daniel Fuentes or Daniel Izvori dj set of Mexican origin, lover of electronic music, currently collaborates with the aha lab coml Dj Set team and collaboration with Subcode. 

He entered the electronic scene in 2003 listening to a variety of genres such as trance, techno, chill out, ambient, progressive and psychedelic trance, attending numerous electronic music festivals around Mexico. 

His musical evolution, interpretation and style has connected with the public, having a different repertoire with remixes and exclusive productions of friends adapted to each audience. Currently his set is more focused on the progressive house, organic house and downtempo genres.

A dynamic DJ whose musical journey spans continents, from her roots in Kyiv, Ukraine, to the vibrant electronic music scene of Toronto, Canada. With a diverse background in piano, dance, and songwriting, Sashy's passion for music has been evident since her youth.

After pursuing her studies at the University of Kentucky, Sashy returned to her musical calling in Toronto, where she discovered her love for electronic music. During the pandemic, she seized the opportunity to fulfill her long-held dream of becoming a DJ, quickly gaining recognition on global radio stations like Ibiza Stardust, Mix365 and Remix Radiofy.

Her mixes on Soundcloud have earned her a loyal following, while her weekly podcast showcases the latest tracks in electronic music. Beyond the turntables, she is committed to empowering women in the industry and inspiring others to pursue their passions.

Deckster discovered Dance Music very early, attracted to the nearby situated famous Dutch nightclubs like "Waakzaamheid", IT Amsterdam and Roxy.  He is addicted to music and plays several instruments, but never started playing the decks until mid 2020. His broad taste in music and search for out-of-ordinary tracks gives him a unique sound and vibe.

He is in the game for the fun and joy of sharing music and vibe.  As music is tightly bond to atmosphere, place and time, the music varies from the most relaxed and chill sounds to some solid techno beats! 
His heart goes out to organic and downtempo progressive tunes, with a solid base in Bass, Drums and Percussion. Hypnotic and binding tunes with an ever existing positive vibe.

I've been listening to electronic music since I was old enough to tune into the John Peel show on Radio 1. Peel first introduced me to Chicago House, Detroit Electro and Rap. I would listen to an entire show with my finger hovering over the record button of my 'tape-recorder' close to the radio speaker just to record whatever 3 electronic imports he would play each night. I wish I'd kept those recordings.
From the moment I first heard 'Roxanne Shante' I sought out everything I could ranging from Kraftwerk, Mike Oldfield, Kurtis Mantronik, Africa Bambata, Grandmaster Flash, Gorgio Morodor, Axel-F, Jean Michel Jarre and just about anyone who used a synth to make music! With the arrival of House in the mid-late 80's the likes of Marshall Jefferson, Frankie Knuckles, Farley Jackmaster Funk, Steve Silk Hurley, Adonis and many more American underground House producers, the music had developed into a new, seriously exciting phenomena.
Music progressed at pace with House and Acid imports driving change, the UK in particular underwent an epiphany of sorts in the 80's and 90's. From Break-Dancing to New Romanticism, the music developed, finally morphing into the early genres of Acid Trance, Techno and Progressive Trance. Heavily influenced by American and underground Dutch and German artists and with the advent of clubbing and non-speaking mixing DJ's, it opened up a Pandora's box of new music, influences, sounds and styles. What that amounted to for me (and most others like me) was an ever-growing range of electronic music that was continually breaking free from pigeon-holes and mainstream pop culture. Electronic music had become the new classical music of a generation.
I can only say that electronic or computer music has evolved beautifully in the past 40 years and I love it as much now as the day I first heard John Peel play fantastic American imports.
I'm not anything more than a bedroom DJ and electronic music enthusiast. I have the greatest admiration for those who DJ publicly and seek to build a following or career from DJing, but that’s not a path I’ve tried to follow. I do love to put together great tunes, so for me using this sort of platform for sharing music is perfect for me. 
As for making music, I’m slowly finding my way around Ableton, opting to use Paul Nolan – MYT (Make Your Transition https://www.transition.studio/ ) course in order to bring life to the musical ideas rolling around my head.

A fixture on the East Coast electronic music scene for more than two decades, Sean has earned the respect of electronic music lovers, DJs and promoters all over with his intelligent and smooth storytelling blend of organic and progressive house.

A true technical perfectionist who combines outstanding programming skills with near flawless execution all while playing to the atmosphere in which he is performing, Sean once earned himself the reputation as one of the most consistent performers in the East. His professional approach and attention to detail provided him with many memorable opportunities throughout the years having compiled a very long list of accomplishments.

Introduced to electronic music in the 80s and early 90s by musical acts like Depeche Mode and New Order it wasn't until he listened to Sasha & John Digweed's "Northern Exposure" in 1996 that his world really changed forever. Falling in love with the sound of the Global Underground, Sean was moved to share this new found love of electronic dance music with others. After an extended period of honing basic DJ skills at home he recorded and distributed his first demo to a few select Halifax promoters and was lucky enough to be given his first public performance at the now infamous Baseline Fridays @ Reflections.

Championing a sound and style that was a bit different for Halifax at the time, Sean quickly become known as one of the early pioneers of progressive house in Atlantic Canada. Holding residencies over the years with some of the most influential production companies including Massive Productions and Underdog Productions while also working the after hours scene with Kyle Kurts at various venues including Sub Rosa, Sean's reputation in the scene grew and provided him with many memorable experiences having played alongside a very long list of some of the world's biggest headliners including Armin Van Buuren, Deep Dish, Danny Howells, Luke Fair, Steve Porter, Ferry Corsten, Kaskade, Calvin Harris, Darude and Sultan to name just a few. In 2003 Sean was lucky enough to play alongside one of the DJs ultimately responsible for his musical journey, Sasha. A very special club event that continued into the wee hours of the morning at a local after hours venue where Sean & Sasha treated a small, intimate crowd to an impromptu tag set that still remains as one of Halifax's most indelible electronic music memories.

Somewhat more recently in 2011 Sean provided the winning mix in John Digweed's "Structures Two" international mix contest and was featured on Digweed's highly acclaimed radio show "Transitions". An accomplishment that even the most seasoned of international touring DJs aspires to.

While Sean's live performances have become increasingly rare in recent years, his love for the music remains unwavering and he regularly releases new mixes in his long running mix series "Chilling Moments" which initially started as a SHOUTCast live broadcast through CyberDJs.ca and is now celebrating its 20th year.

With Sean's dedication to the craft, ear for the music and storytelling ability each one of his sets is sure to be an emotional journey through sound.
