Spiro Catalano and Tony H are no strangers to making records together, so it only felt right that we had two members of the Bread Gang join forces and delivers a bangin' EP. 'Hologram' EP really encapsulates the essence of Bread -N- Butter; dirty basslines and rap inspired vocals. Both the A and B Sides have dark chunky basslines with playful percussion and vocals for the streets. We are so excited to welcome these two into the ranks.

This mix was recorded from the Evolve Audio x HapHap Lounge take over with the Evolve Audio Crew in Boise Idaho on April 26th 2024. 

That night Artist / DJs; Alex Sacknoff, OneBadDude, Soul Velocity and Will Sonn mixed for about an hour each with a 30 minute back to back family style set at the end of the night. This recording was from the digital out of the mixer using the #DJM-REC App and exported so I could put my into / talk over onto it. Thank you everyone who was there that night. I really enjoyed the mix and and felt like everything fell into place as this was a freeform mix. I got into the zone with in minutes on the decks and the rooms energy was on point! It was a awesome time and we have more great times ahead here in Boise, follow as there is more shows to come.

Maxwell Cutty draws on his eclectic musical background and influences to craft music that has been described as “seriously intoxicating and powerful”. Never one to shy away from the weird and surreal, his compositions are awash with “trippy and wonky elements” combined with ever present pulsing bass and driving drums. They leave you hooked, and maybe feeling just a little bit unhinged. 

Maxwell Cutty hails from Oakland but is currently exploring the woods and sounds in Portland OR.

He’s the founder and curator of Evolve Audio in Boise, Idaho. A producer with over 16+ years of experience in electronic music and a DJ with a solid 6+ years of live mixing under his belt. Evan Williams also known as the artist Soul Velocity has been expanding into the musical consciousness. 

When it comes to Soul Velocity’s sound and mixing style it has be described as a seamless fusion of Tech House, Breaks, Minimal, and Electro. Attention to detail in the sound design and track selection is expertly done. Classic 808 and 909 drum machines span the mixes with intricate percussion rhythms. Dynamic and classic mixing transitions flow through the tracks onto to the dance floor. His use of dub-inspired delays and  spacey effects can take you to another place in space and time. Use of arpeggios and classic techno sequencing structures creates a captivating interplay of tension and release with in his mixes. From hard-hitting Breakbeats to cutting-edge Tech House grooves, Soul Velocity’s seamless mixing captivates audiences and keeps them fully engaged.

Fueled by a passion for uncovering fresh tracks or digging for old gems lost in the aether he finds it important to create unique sets. No two performances are ever the same. Soul Velocity’s sets leave a lasting impression long after the music fades.

Established in 2020, his Unlearn:Records imprint will serve as an outlet for his own fresh, unique take on tech house and techno—as well as showcasing other artists producing incredible music that sits a little outside of the status quo. Expect dark grooves, rolling beats and an abundance of energy with every release.
