The original version of Teeing You Off I wrote for my composer trial in February of 2023. The task at hand was to compose a new battle theme for one of the four Cog Headquarters. I leapt on Bossbot Headquarters as I loved its dark tone and abundant leitmotifs ripe for the picking. I actually had to balance a good part of revisions with making Stuck in the Liminal, and every time my trainer had a new set of revisions for me SITL would immediately take a backseat.

Teeing You Off (Beta trial version)

The first draft for the Under New Management trailer theme. The original idea was to seamlessly flow from the UNM playtest teaser theme (then two semitones higher) and reference the Clerk, Auditor, and Club President's battle themes. At this point the Foreman's battle theme had not been written yet. I wrote this scratch piano track in less than an hour so our video editors could have something to work off of while I orchestrated it. However, orchestrating this song did not come easy, and I stepped away to revise Teeing You Off.

Under New Management trailer (beta scratch version)

The first version of the Under New Management title theme. I wrote this version about a month before the final version and about two months before Under New Management was released, making it the final song I wrote for the update. It's heavily based off the playtest teaser theme but extended with a new B section. It was well-received in a vacuum but unfortunately did not fit the title screen ingame and needed some more bombast. We could have easily abridged what I had, but it didn't flow out of our intro cutscene theme (based on the release trailer theme) nearly as well and I opted to completely revise it instead.
