The Problem With Me, uno de los álbumes imprescindibles de los años 90, cumplió 30 años recientemente y nos sirve de excusa para reivindicar la figura de Sooyoung Park, un norteamericano de raíces surcoreanas y líder de dos bandas básicas en el desarrollo que tuvieron muchos nuevos estilos en aquella década. Primero, al bajo y la voz con Bitch Magnet, desde un punto de partida post-hardcore ayudó a cimentar las bases del post-rock y el math rock. Más tarde, cambió el bajo por la guitarra y montó Seam, banda en la que mostró su lado más melódico y con la que se movió por terrenos como el slowcore, el shoegaze, el emo y el indie rock. 
Hablamos de Sooyoung Park, sus bandas y también de otros músicos/grupos como Steve Albini, Slint, Codeine, Bastro, Tortoise, Superchunk, The New Year o Built to Spill. Si te gustan alguna de ellas y no conoces a Bitch Magnet o a Seam, es muy posible que saques algo positivo de este programa. Y si yas las conoces, esperamos que igualmente lo disfrutes.
