DJ Slide presents a UC Davis led investigation into the deaths of four southern sea otters off the California coast. The discovery that these otters died of Toxoplasmosis raises questions about how T. gondii causes disease and how these otters acquired a traditionally terrestrial pathogen.

After nearly losing one of my new kittens, Scout, to the deadly parasite Toxoplasma gondii (Toxoplasmosis), which caused some horrifying neurological symptoms, including body twitches, I decided to express my feelings about the experience in song using my new DAW. The song is upbeat because she recovered, and is now parasite free!
