You can enjoy it on Youtube, me performing this dawless Live Set, expect deep ambients and never ending groove with a strong presence.
My new setup with the mc707 as mixer, sampler, and midi controller; is followed by the TR-8s as drum machine and layering; getting the TB-3 and the SYSTEM-1 in mono sidechain inside it as acid and evolving basslines.
The SYSTEM-1m as a semi modular sinthetizer is directly controlled by the MC-707 where I get a double midi output to play and sequence the modular device, it takes the gate control from the TR-8s getting a groovy side instead of the ambient soundscape I'm usual to produce with that.

Fairly jackin techno track made up of a set of recordings made from my tr-8s and minilogue x-d through my oto boum and eventide space. 
A couple of elements were created 'elsewhere' at my mates house while we had a bit of a jam session and I incorporated them into this track.

Just a quick after work dub techno inspired jam. 

Practice Practice Practice... maybe I'll get enough skills to perform a live jam a set out in the wild again. Been a while since Phoenix Landing and Electric Highway live sets.

Setup is pretty straightforward here.
All Drums just 1 pattern on the TR-8S, a few faders nudged up/down to bring in the parts. Need to do more here with additional alt patterns and more probability to steps.

For the Synth lead, just running Braids through a Mosaic 1U filter and out to Sealegs for delay/verb. 
Braids is sequenced by TB-3PO hemisphere applet off an Ornaments & Crime (Phaserville Firmware of course). Some modulation of the VCA with Maths for that funky envelope groove and Ochd for subtle Braids Timbre / Color manipulation.

A little manual control of the TB-3P0 with the WMD 4TTEN for slight pitch and note density in the pattern.

Sounds pretty full with just these few modules and certainly could have continued evoloving the patch, but thought that this lil groove sounded cool enough as is and wanted to capture one performance.

This was all performed in real time recorded as is. No post production EQ or Mastering.

I like Underground Dance and Electronically Based Music, primarily. Located in Dobbs Ferry (prior, I lived NYC and Boston before that). I use a mix of Analog and Digital Hardware Devices from across the decades and of course anything I can load up inside of Ableton Live (whatever the current version is).

With parents who really loved the music in the 70’s / 80’s it wasn’t really complicated for Joel to fall in love with the music genres of these periods. As a kid for him it was a bunch of years to search and discover through the gigantic records collection some of the most fantastic and rare masterpiece of these decades. Nowadays these memories bring back a new kind of creation for him.
Music lover, DJ, producer Joel is active in the electronic music genre for more than 15 years.
All has begun with The Badgers back in 2002 with two second hand Technics turntables. He was party manager of big electronic music festivals in the east of France and after that he started to produce some dark techno / minimal tracks with his best friend as The Badgers.
After numerous music productions during more than 10 years in the dark techno / minimal branch with the Badgers (Creepy Finger Rec, Plankton Repellent, Momentum League, Killing Machine Rec. and many more) Joel decides to make a solo project to explore the another creative side of his personality, deeper and funkier.
“Nasty Preacher” is the new born of this choice.
“Nasty” was how some people portrayed the music his influences. “Preacher” is a nod to James Brown.
There is only one objective, to create a good workout for your hips…
