Roman A is a pop rock artist from Moscow, Russia currently based in Oxford, UK. Inspired by acts such as A-ha, OneRepublic, and Fun., the singer instills the spirit of romantic searchings in his lyrics and creates a feeling of euphoria through the combination of atmospheric guitars, catchy melodic lines and gentle yet uplifting vocals. 

Roman A started his musical journey by uploading original tracks to YouTube and SoundCloud in the summer of 2020 following a band hiatus in the 1st year of university. The demo for his song ‘Angelic Triumph’  received airplay on Inhailer Radio in Cincinnati, Ohio. Following from this, in 2022, he created a remix of the song ‘Lonely Surfer’ by the band Savoy, a project by A-ha’s guitar player Pål Waaktaar Savoy, as part of his music contest. The remix was featured on the Soundcloud page of the band’s official website a-ha.com and reposted by Waaktaaar-Savoy himself in an Instagram story. 

Roman’s most recent endeavour is an instrumental EP titled “Affection” released in April 2024. Consisting of instrumental tracks written for cafés and music contests organised by brands such as Kia, ‘Affection’ explores the internal conflicts faced by a romantic in the present days by merging pop rock with ambient and lo-fi and painting an inspiring adventure, guided by an exploration of self and the world around.
