War on Gravity is a heavy music project based in “State 48”: Arizona. The band’s mission is to remind listeners that their lives have purpose and inspire them to make the most of the time they have left. Like gravity, things like death and pain are immutable parts of life. But we can defy them.

La banda comenzó su gestación aproximadamente en 2018, cuando los amigos Álvaro Boragk (guitarra) y Mario Álvarez (batería), se juntaban en el sala de ensayo de este último, para conversar de música y compartir, ritual que siempre terminaba con la dupla tomando sus respectivos instrumentos con el objetivo de ensayar las ideas musicales de Álvaro, las cuales se encontraban aún en una etapa embrionaria.

Ya un buen tiempo después, en marzo del 2021, Álvaro comienza a plantearle a un viejo amigo, el bajista Alejandro Muñoz, la posibilidad de sumarse al proyecto para comenzar propiamente tal una banda, lo que se plasma oficialmente en julio del año 2021.


Muy poco tiempo después se une Gonzalo Humano Color Piel (actualmente en Los Hijos de Mr. Playa) en voces, músico multiintrumentista que aportó mucho con melodías y letras en esta primera etapa, siendo éste reemplazado en marzo del 2022 por Felipe Aravena (actualmente en Rojo Lunar).

Con la inclusión de Felipe en la banda, se viene a completar el sonido y la propuesta musical de Camouna, que destaca por ser un rock pesado, crudo, visceral y a la vez melódico, con muchas influencias del rock de los 90, citando por ejemplo a bandas como Queens of the Stone Age, Kyuss, Helmet, Fu Manchu, Monster Magnet, Deftones, pero también con un lado muy etéreo y suave que evoca a bandas como Belle and Sebastian, PJ Harvey, Yo La Tengo etc.


En la actualidad, Camouna es un power trío, ya que Álvaro y Alejandro se hicieron cargo de las voces. 
El disco debut de Camouna se grabó en enero y octubre del año 2023, en Estudio 105 de Linares, la grabación estuvo a cargo de Álvaro Contreras. La mezcla fue realizada por Álvaro Boragk en Babel Audio entre junio y diciembre del 2023 mientras que la masterización se realizó en Panzound Estudio y estuvo a cargo de Pablo Navarrete. Las ilustraciones y el arte de la carátula son del artista Cristian Vivanco. Las fotografías en vivo son de autoría de Aldo Fontana


Desde enero del 2024 Camouna es parte del sello Subalterno www.subalterno.cl
