This is one of the 10 most common bird species in Sweden but few have seen it close up. Recently it seems as it has decreased where I live in Uppland. I have no idea why because glades in forest (i.e. clearcuts) are everywhere. Wik Castle, Uppland, May 19, 2023.

Recording 4027.  I had another go at recording at the Tree Pipit, this is because it was a better day with lots of heat to muffle the distant noise from the river and streams.  MixPre3 & Rode NTG-8 gun mic.

A cabinetmaker by trade.  I have been recording birds for over 42 years.  Even as a seven year old I loved to hear the sound of birds. 
I believe that birdsong is a perfect reflection of the natural environment and yet a part of the experience of the environment.
