Nelson.Kay was already interested in electronic music as a child and has always been fascinated by computer technology.
He began experimenting with software DAWs at the age of 11.
Film soundtrack artists also had a major musical influence on him, particularly shaping his emotional perception of sounds.
Over the years, he has explored many different genres of electronic music, from minimal to techno in all its facets to drum & bass.
But his passion for tech- or progressive house beats, which, with dreamy pads and melodies, give the tracks a lively, emotional soul, is ultimately what defines him.
Every Nelson.Kay track conveys a feeling or tells a story.
Despite his professional career outside of music, this passion has always remained.
As a DJ and live performer, Nelson.Kay played shows at smaller events and clubs in Germany and Austria between 2008 and 2017.
Since 2024, he has been actively working on his music again and, in his vocation as a computer scientist, is also driving the development of innovative and creative solutions for his live acts.
