💊 QBRNTHSS (pronounced “quebrantahuesos”, meaning “bearded vulture” in Spanish) is the alias that Ramon Casamajó, musician based in Barcelona, uses for his solo works focused on experimental electronics. As QBRNTHSS he has released thr split LP “Harry Dean Stanton” (Call It Anything Records 2019), and the album "The Magic Words are Squeamish Ossifrage" (via the Sheffield label Interworld Media), and has performed live internationally. In his new album “Disorder” he follows the experimental stylistic line of wild textures and broken rhythms of his previous works, but introducing a twist to more synthetic, glitch and even rave sounds at times. He also incorporates the trumpet as a sound source in some tracks, a feature he has been using in his live shows for a while.

Formed in May, 2024, Geschwätz GmbH came together when aspiring DJ and producer, Petra Joy Fischer, met her soul mate, Austrian trumpetist, arranger, singer, rapper, and master brewer, Peter Roland Kuhn, on a platform at Hamburg-Altona Bahnhof en route to the warm-up party for the 2024 Schlagermove festival. Fischer had found office work in Hamburg uninspiring, and trying to break into the city's saturated DJ and electronic music scene a constant frustration. She consequently abandoned city life for her new-found love and the mountanous beauty of rural Austria. Already by early June, she had packed down her vinyl collection, grow room, and home studio and re-located permanently to Kuhn's remote home town, the mountain-locked village of Brandt. There the inseparable, reclusive couple began pumping out a wide selection of tracks, employing the services of Kuhn's own talented, Reggae-inspired, home-town, brass schlager band (Die Einheimischen). The resulting musical constellation melds some of the pair's favorite styles: Glitch & Electronica, Ska, Reggae, Dub, Hip Hop, Trip-Hop, Rap, 1940's & '50's Jazz & Swing, Polka, World Music, Analogue & Digital Turntablism, EDM, and German Party-/Pop-/Folk- Schlager. Shortly after meeting, Petra joined Peter on a visit to his brother in Denmark. There the couple met their primary collaborator, musician and co-producer, Jah Bozo, a good friend of Peter's brother. An electronic producer since the 1980's, Jah Bozo, is online live almost daily from Copenhagen with Petra and/or Peter at their home studio in the Austria Alps. When Peter's worklife as master brewer at Brandt Bierhalle keeps him from the studio, Petra Joy and Jah Bozo occupy themselves with their own tracks, often collaborating with other band members from Die Einheimischen, particularly the multi-talented Lauer sisters - Birgit and Simone. The production team have recently (Spring/Summer 2025) been recording and producing a bunch of Die Einheimischen's own Reggae-driven Schlager tracks for posterity, fun, and profit. Likewise, Geschwätz is collaborating on tracks with friends and producers around the world. These include The Ruff Mate (UK), SpiceDoubt (Germany), and young South African producer and visual artist, Lesedi Dlamini, from Bantfu Beliciniso. Many of these tracks and collaborations can also be found here (and currently nowhere else).

i’m zzzebra and here’s my story. 

I started creating music on my computer prior to being diagnosed with a rare neuromuscular disease called Myasthenia Gravis (MG). This disease has no cure and causes muscle weakness in all voluntary muscles (the ones used to talk, smile, blink, lift my arms/ legs, swallow, chew, see, and even breathe). I had became unable to see my music, blow air thru my horn, or even hold up my trumpet at all due to weak arms. While struggling with how my muscles weren't working anymore, I checked out midi keyboard from the public library and that was when I first began experimenting with creating electronic music. 

It was March 2020 that I was diagnosed with this rare neuromuscular disease, Myasthenia Gravis (MG). It had became increasingly difficult to use my muscles at all. I couldn't lift my arms to brush my teeth, stand up unassisted, and was choking on my food. My legs were so weak I had a multiple falls, including breaking bones. And my breathing muscles were weakening to the point of having breathing difficulties. Once I began treatment, I was then able to regain a bit of muscle function. Through this I quite literally and musically found my voice again.

From this diagnosis and access to treatment, I first had found immense gratitude. Gratitude for being able to speak, whistle, breathe, that this journey of creating music electronically began. The realization hit me that while I no longer was able to play trumpet, I was still a musician. At this point, I became determined to find my musical voice that had felt so burried and lost. 

Due to treatments causing me to be immunosuppressed, I have made music mostly alone and miss making music with others. Deciding to confront my fear of not only my own musical ideas, but the fear of using my own voice in music. So I started digging up old poetry to use, pulled up audio recordings, and captured new ones; clips from the news, nature, random rants, goofy singing, medical devices beeping... the clips span years.

It was not been until later in 2024 that I began to be able to make music again. I spent some time sick in the hospital prior to that point. While hospitalized, a health care worker expressed wanting to learn guitar and I convinced them they could totally start to learn. Taking a bit of my own advice, I decided start learning a few scales on a small 3lbs practice guitar. I have also just began to play trumpet for a few minutes at a time, for the first time since 2019 with using adaptions to help with muscle support.
