Pucker up, people - Samosa Funk is back on the Myhouse Radio airwaves with another Les Inferno and DeGama inspired smack to the proverbial kisser! 

In the red corner wearing the red shorts with gold piping we have the insatiable Sensei of Grooves , Les Inferno. Expect some trademark combo punches from Les Inferno which include The Gap Band, Rena Scott, Rick James and Herb Alpert. Hit after hit until your jaw is left swinging. 

In the opposite corner, wearing the blue shorts with the silver trim is DeGama aka The Dark Destroyer. This guy knows how to pack a punch, and with knockout blows from Dirty Elements & Drunk Drivers, Uptown Funk, Musta and Monsieur Van Pratt, you’ll be on the canvas begging for mercy. Or more. Probably more.

Samosa Funk’s monthly residency for Black Light Disco has gone from strength to strength, and the lads always deliver - no problem.

For those who missed it I had the honour of joining acts such as the Allergies, Sam Redmore, Shaka Loves You & Skewiff amongst others in being asked to put together a 30 minute mix for Craig Charles Funk n Soul Show over on Radio 6 back in January.

Took a few weeks to put together though on the plus side London's pretty cold and wet that time of year so was more than happy being locked in a heated room seing what I could come up with.

Originally featured on the January show before hanging on the BBC website for a while. Stuck it up on my youtube channel a few months ago but thought it would be time to get it up here for the DL in time for Easter funkin!

The idea of Black Light Disco became a real thing when a few like-minded DJs and producers came together to put on a night showcasing the very best in disco, house and funk and everything in between. We announced ourselves on a gorgeous sunny Saturday in June 2019 with an all day and night party in Liverpool’s thriving Baltic Triangle area. It was the start of something very special. 

We have a solid core group of musical talent residing in BLD Towers hailing from England, Scotland, Wales, Northen Ireland and Italy -  providing perfectly cooked grooves and juicy basslines. 

The BLD team comprises of Esteban, Goz (Spin City), Pookie Knights, Cole Kutz (Opentempo.fm) De Gama and Fingerman (Hot Digits) – clocking up decades of DJ’ing and dancefloor experience between us. As individuals, the BLD team have been producing consistently high quality sets over the last few years. Now, as a collective, the aim is to make Black Light Disco THE place to promote new music and to bring you the very best in established/up-and-coming artists and producers in the sunlit uplands of sonic pleasure. 

In January 2020, we launched a weekly show on THE biggest house music FM radio station in New York, MyHouseRadio.fm (also available digitally at www.myhouseradio.fm).  The Black Light Disco Show airs every Monday exclusive to MyHouse Radio between 7pm – 9pm GMT (2pm -4pm EST), bringing you the finest in disco, funk and boogie; all delivered by our expert in-house Sonic Consultants (resident DJs) with guest mixes from the hottest producers, DJs and artists out there right now.
