Matt is an Emmy nominated composer, a songwriter, and a multi-instrumentalist. His experience performing and recording a wide variety of instruments in a wider range of musical backdrops (added that to his time writing, performing, directing comedy) have made him highly adaptable, chameleon like, and a proficient collaborator.

As a sideman Matt has performed or recorded with several Juno and Grammy nominated artists and worked along side Grammy and Emmy (nominated or winning) engineers.  As an engineer / mixer / producer he’s recorded everything from Freejazz to Grindcore, Balkan folk to New Orleans Brass and beyond.

He currently composes music for animation, be it feature songs or score. His music can be heard on Disney, HBO, Sesame Workshop, Nickelodeon, CBC, BBC, Crave, Just For Laughs, Paramount+ (etc), with his songs sung by some of the top voice actors of our day (John DiMaggio, Candy Milo, Paul Rugg, and many others).  

Matt was nominated for an Emmy in 2017 for his work on Nickelodeons “Pig Goat Banana Cricket” and has contributed songs to other Emmy and Canadian Screen Award nominated series’.

Matt was engineer, editor and producer of Juno Nominated comedy albums in 2021, and 2022.

He lives in Toronto Canada with his plants and instruments.
