Phonix Records are back into the danger zone with an EP from the latest addition to the Phonix family - Inside Brain (X-Side aka Luis Cruz/Mexico & Psygeneration aka Edi Jesus/Portugal)! This time they present us with a HUGE 2 track EP - ‘Akbal Strong’! 

The Mayans use the word Akbal to describe people who get things done, who rise to the occasion, who put in the blood, sweat and tears to help lead the way forward. It was with this idea and a single minded focus that our sonic hackers were able to craft two dancefloor bombs! 

‘Akbal Ho’ is mean to the bone, with enough power and acid laced leads to give the dancefloor a jumpstart like no other! Setting the tone of what is to come, “Feel Strong” is a deliciously fat tune - with a bass so huge, it can only be listened to safely on dancefloors where foot tapping quickly becomes foot stomping! A snippet of the sound and style we can expect Inside Brain to continue to perfect in the future. You have been warned!

In 2010, Paulo Etnarama was inspired to support fresh up and coming psytrance producers acts in twilight psytrance, and thus Phonix Records was born in London. Later that year he found his partner in crime - Ishikawa, a fellow traveler in the cosmos who shared the same vision. Together they worked tirelessly with the aim of providing sonic scientists and wizards the means to be heard by audiences galaxy wide.

Fast-forward 3 years to 2013, Etnarama goes on sabbatical and Ishikawa takes the reigns to manage the label. Since then - Phonix Records has now branched from its home in the UK with representation across USA, Portugal, and South Africa. Over 15 years and over 50 releases, they have released fresh releases featuring all the flavors of the twilight spectrum. Today they proudly support an ever-growing roster of new and established producers from across the globe including France, South Africa, Mexico, Portugal and Canada.

Focusing completely on the music for the twilight hours, Phonix Records has constantly been pushing to release nothing but the very best in super powered, hyper charged, 100% unadulterated twilight psytrance! They strive to leave their mark on the psytrance scene as a serious label known to support the music they love.

Sua música é habilmente composta, estando sempre bem próxima dos 150BPMs, com sofisticadas linhas de baixo profundas, sintetizadores hipnóticos e vibrações lúdicas em geral, desenvolvendo seu próprio estilo único de alta energia cheio de groove, seguindo uma linha direta de som noturno através dos gêneros, Twilight e Full On Night.

Lucas Costa Santos, born on January 18, 1996, in Porto Alegre, Brazil, is the mastermind behind the Flowdelic project. Having had his first contact with music at a young age, he was influenced by various artists from the global electronic scene, which is reflected in his productions. He constantly seeks to innovate and experiment with new sounds, blending elements of psytrance with touches of other electronic genres.

His music is skillfully crafted, always hovering around 150 BPM, with sophisticated, deep basslines, hypnotic synthesizers, and playful vibes in general. He has developed his unique high-energy style full of groove, following a direct path of nocturnal sound through the Twilight and Full On Night genres.
