Leo habe ich schon vor vielen Jahren durch eine gemeinsame Freundin im Hive kennengelernt. Ausschlaggebend dafür war sein Tattoo von Yann Tiersens «Comptine d’un autre été» auf der Brust - eines der ersten Lieder, in das ich mich schon im zarten Alter von 10 Jahren so richtig verliebt hatte. Damals war HS12 aber noch nicht auf der Bildfläche. Über die Jahre habe ich dann nach und nach auch Azad und Claudio (damals noch als First Claz) und July kennen und lieben gelernt. Als Autor für UBWG habe ich auch schon des öfteren über HS12-Events geschrieben und war schon am einen oder anderen ;-). Ich habe den Vibe, die Energie und die Community rund um HS12 immer als ganz speziell, herzlich und vor allem authentisch empfunden und das hat sich immer auch ganz stark in der Musik gezeigt, die gespielt wurde. Für mich ist HS12 ein wahnsinnig inspirierendes Kollektiv voller Menschen, die lieben was sie tun und das auch mit ganzem Herzen nach aussen tragen. Etwas, das unsere Stadt ganz dringend braucht und sie zu dem macht, was sie ist.

I met Leo many years ago through a mutual friend at the Hive. The deciding factor was his tattoo of Yann Tiersen's "Comptine d'un autre été" on his chest - one of the first songs I really fell in love with at the tender age of 10. At that time, however, HS12 was not yet well known. Over the years I gradually got to know and appreciate Azad and Claudio (then still as First Claz) and July. As a writer for UBWG I've also written about HS12 events quite often and have been to one or the other ;-). I've always found the vibe, energy and community around HS12 to be very special, warm and above all authentic and this has always been very evident in the music that was played. For me, HS12 is an insanely inspiring collective full of people who love what they do and carry that outward with all their heart. Something that our city desperately needs and makes it what it is.
