Hii leo jaridani tunakuletea mada kwa kina inayotupeleka nchini Jamhuri ya Kidemokrasia ya Congo (DRC) kushuhudia sintofahamu na maombi ya wakazi wa Goma baada ya waasi wa M23 kutwaa mji huo. Mashinani tunakwenda Somalia na pia tunakuletea muhutasari wa habari. 

1.	Mratibu wa Masuala ya Kibinadamu wa Umoja wa Mataifa katika Jamhuri ya Kidemokrasia ya Congo (DRC), Bruno Lemarquis, ametoa wito wa kufunguliwa haraka kwa Uwanja wa Ndege wa Goma. Amesema uwanja huu uliofungwa kutokana na mapigano kati ya vikosi vya jeshi la DRC na waasi wa M23 ni muhimu kwa usafirishaji wa misaada ya kibinadamu. Hospitali zimejaa na maelfu ya raia hawana msaada wa dharura.
2.	Mashirika ya Umoja wa Mataifa lile la idadi ya watu na afya ya uzazi, (UNFPA), na la misaada ya kibinadamu na dharura (OCHA) leo yamesisitiza kuwa kusitishwa kwa ufadhili wa Marekani kunawaacha mamilioni 'hatarini'. Hayo yakijiri tayari imefahamika kuwa Rais Donald Trump anaiondoa Marekani katika Baraza la Umoja wa Mataifa la Haki za Binadamu na pia kuacha kulifadhili shirika la Umoja wa Mataifa la Kuhudumia wakimbizi wa Kipalestina.
3.	Na ikiwa leo ni Siku ya Kimataifa ya Saratani, Shirika la Umoja wa Mataifa la Afya Duniani (WHO) limeeleza kiasi takwimu kuhusu ugonjwa huo kwamba mathalani  kwa mwaka 2020 saratani ilisababisha vifo karibu milioni 10 sawa na kifo kimoja kati ya sita duniani. Aidha WHO imebainisha kuwa saratani zinazojitokeza zaidi ni saratani ya matiti, mapafu na utumbo mpana.
4.	Na katika mashinani fursa ni yake Safiya Jeylaani, mkazi wa Barawe katika Jimbo la Kusini Magharibi mwa Somalia ambye baada ya kuhudhuria hafla ya kujadili umuhimu wa upatikanaji wa huduma za afya kwa Wasomali wote katika mji mkuu wa Somalia, Mogadishu iliyoandaliwa na Umoja wa Mataifa anasema jamii wanapaswa kuelimishwa kuhusu afya kutumia lugha mama.

This piece awakens the voices of those lost to the harsh and cruel conditions of enslavement and virulent diseases during the Middle Passage, urging us to listen to the wisdom of our ancestors carried on the ocean's gale.

Focusing on past contexts, its lyrics blend historical pain with contemporary struggles, celebrating ancestral strength and the importance of collective healing. It also beckons us to learn from countries that may be considered less advanced but have successfully tackled some of the worst global health crises head-on.

The composition calls for unity and encourages us to reflect on our own roles in advancing health equity and justice, emphasizing community, healing, and awareness in addressing ongoing challenges.

Deny, Defend, Depose: Health Struggle After "Luigi" (DP x S25) (Re-Air)

"Echoes From The Gap" weaves together themes of resilience, identity, and community. Growing up in "The Gap," a vibrant neighborhood on Chicago's South Side, I was immersed in a rich tapestry of culture that profoundly shaped my identity and values. 

Amidst the historic greystones and the close-knit community that embraced both challenges and joys, I developed a deep appreciation for resilience and connection. The laughter shared on the front stoop, and the bonds forged among neighbors played a pivotal role in molding the person I am today. 

This foundation drives my passion for sharing awareness about health concerns, recognizing that we are all interconnected—much like the Earth, the solar system, and the diverse ecosystems that encompass water, wildlife, and our enviro-climate. Our well-being is intertwined with the health of our planet and each other.

When I'm not busy as a biomedical research executive, I embrace my role as a gregarious introvert who loves science, sports, animation, film, helping others, writing, and tuning in to what’s around me. 

Being near water is like being cradled by the horizon, inviting endless possibilities, while the whispering winds bring me knowledge and carry away my worries out to sea.

When I am surrounded by trees, I feel like a seed taking root—grounded yet reaching for the sky—embodying growth, resilience, and the interconnectedness of God’s greatest gifts. 

After being on the road for a long time, returning to my in-home studio feels like a safe haven, a place where I can reconnect with my creativity. An integral part of my life is my love for all types of music, which serves as a constant presence and reflects the world around us. 

Music, like a bridge between the seen and unseen, translates emotions into vibrations, allowing feelings to flow where words falter, resonating within our very souls.

I’m incredibly grateful to my brilliant executive producer, Steve Ross; I wouldn't be at this point without his encouragement and engineering skills.
