A member of the 5 strong crew known as ‘Brothers Grim’, these guys (and gal) have been putting on events for over a decade now, and have grown a loyal fan base for their mixed genre shindigs.

They’ve also held down a Brothers Grim radio show for about the same time, broadcast every third Wednesday of the month on Safehouse radio.

With great pleasure we bring to you none other than acid techno pioneer, and all round good guy; Chris Liberator.

As well as heading up Stay Up Forever, Cluster, Maximum/ Minimum and other record labels besides, Chris’s productions over the last 25 years have been instrumental in creating the scene we all know and love today.

Fresh from the success of his own label launch, No Comment! continues to produce great music. He has collaborated with Secret Hero, Sterling Moss & Strait Jackit to name but a few, and released on many labels such as Hive, Rebeltek, and RAW.

After appearing several times for us on techno FM, I can tell you now this man doesn’t disappoint!

It was the 3rd Wednesday of the month, the 10th month of the year and the 9th month of our 5th year rinsing techno and acid techno on Safehouse Radio!!!

Opening the show is our resident Betty Bloop.

Our first guest is DJ, producer, promoter and label boss of South Wales based Modular Trax, K-Netic.

I first met this man at Hanger 19 in Swansea, after he’d finished his set at techno club night The Resistance.

K-Netic played tracks not familiar to me, but the South Wales technoheads soaked it up and loved every minute. 

During the evening I found out that all his tracks were in fact his own, and it was around this time I knew I’d have to invite him to play for you all. 

I’d found Modular Trax on Bandcamp a year or so ago whilst looking for tracks by my second guest (more on that later), so if you haven’t found it yet be sure to check it out!

My second guest this month, and back with a more refined European sound, is Robi S.U.S.S.!

I remember when I first met Robi, we talked a lot about techno (obvs) but more specifically what he was up to and what drives him here and now.

He told me he’s been working on a sound that I know will go down a storm with the listeners of untitled_techno, and after playing one of my favourite sets of the year a few weeks back on forward_thinking, it’s a pleasure to have Robi back on.

This man has a sound unique to only a few, more associated with a dark disused warehouse in Hackney than the forests of North Wales. 

His search for the hardest sounds techno has to offer makes Sted’s track selection second to none. 

I’ve known Sted for a long time and I can safely say if mayhem is required, then Sted is the man to bring it!

Brooksie is a Bristol-based DJ who's been djing since 2000.
He originally started out playing nu skool breaks, over the years of Djing in the bars and side rooms of techno and trance nights, he then  incorporated the harder sounds into his sets with Techno and Acid Techno becoming the main elements of his record bag.
In 2006 he became part of Acidic Sound System who’s legendary nights always sold out at the Packhorse, this led to Brooksie djing on the Rave Yard stage at Boomtown festival from 2013 till 2017, then back with the Acid Leak stage in Area404 for the 2019 and 2022 editions of the festival.
He's been involved with nights such as Smash Techno, Acidic, Quantum Bleep, Firebreaks, DeadEdit, Tribe Of Frog, Ripsnorter as well as playing at Surplus, Wigfest, Hamswell, Phatdrop and Carry On Avinit festivals and has also been a regular on the dj line up in Sardinia at the Acid Punk Royale techno festival since 2017.
Brooksie is one of the driving forces behind The Brothers Grim, a collective who have been promoting now infamous nights at Techno towers and other venues across the city of Bristol, as well as hosting their monthly 'We Speak Techno' podcast on Safehouse Radio which along with the rest of the Brothers Grim crew features guest mixes from djs and producers from around the globe.

Richie Q has been part of the North Wales techno scene for many years. 

Playing filthy techno and acid, he is a resident on Techno FM with his 3 hour, 4th Friday of the month, untitled_techno, and his 2 hour midweek harder styles show, forward_thinking.

He is also resident with cumbrian free party collective's sound system, The Volume Junkies.

Having featured on Hard Force United, DeF CrOnic Acid Series, Pounding Tekkno as well as various Psychotropic Beats Collective shows. 

He has played for the Hyper Freq Soundsystem, Impactic Soundsystem, Psyborg Soundsystem and for North wAliens Soundsystem - part of the North Wales free party scene.

Richie Q's style is fast and furious, tight in the mix and definitely worth checking out.
