Saturn V(2026) 🚀💫

An early work from the band, "Where The Tall Poppies Grow" offers an interesting contrast. On the one hand, there's a sprawling sense of space embodied by Iceland's bleak landscapes; on the other, the deep resonant bass lines of Bjarne Guðjohnsen, who grew up listening to his father's dancehall reggae collection where booming bass was such a feature.

This track is a semi-symphonic threesome baby of a 60's acid rock band, ambient industrial, and the vibe of a Blade Runner music composer. Expect brutal, lofi, and gritty guitars meeting a slow, droney industrial crunch. It is an epic, massive soundtrack with a psycho vibe—thick and distorted, yet never losing its sense of melody.

Abisso EP — Max Marchisio

There is a moment, as you descend, when the light stops following you.
The water grows denser, the silence fuller, and the world above
is no longer a reference just a distant memory floating weightless
above your head.

Abisso EP is a journey in five movements through that descent.
Analog synths from the 1980s, orchestral strings and sparse piano
build an underwater soundscape — cold and warm at the same time,
melancholic but never desperate. From the suspended drift of Superficie,
through the dark pulse of Corrente, into the sudden luminous release
of Luce dal Fondo and the quiet homecoming of Ritorno — each track
is one floor deeper, each floor closer to something essential.

Inspired by the cinematic tradition of Éric Serra and Vangelis,
this EP is a tribute to the Big Blue to everything that exists
in the deep, far from the noise.

I’d bet that nearly every westerner of a gen-x age into alternative music would have had a ‘discovering blade runner’ and discovering ‘chill out’ by the klf.  This track, originally written around 1992 manages to combine both those influences. 

The original had me playing patches with the pitch bend on -1 octave for chill out like sound effects. I’ve kept a few of those in to pay respect. But have also updated with modern FX. 

And at 85 bpm. It was begging for some breakbeat release. Ha. 

I asked My girlfriend at the time, Jenny what to call the track.  “Call it what you want” was her unhelpful yet genius response.  And so it is.
