Took me at least four years to complete this album, although some songs are even older. I honestly can't keep it to myself any longer without feeling like an asshole. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating it and still enjoy listening to it amazingly.

“I hugged the famous LSD chemist Nick Sand in Oakland the day before he died in 2017 at the MAPS conference for Psychedelic Science, and I thanked him for his service to humanity. He told me “we already won” and I will never forget those words and his immortal spirit. This piece is a tribute to his life and work that I drew during the lockdown in 2020. It is a fantasized version of my wife in the style of 1960s San Fransisco rock and roll poster psychedelia glory. In this vision, she is representing the archetype of the bearer of the inner wisdom of love that resides in every human’s heart. The rose, the crystal, and the rainbow.”

“2025 is the Year Of The Snake. It makes sense that this piece which was worked on for a number of years was finally completed this year. Shedding skins. Life, death, and rebirth. Alchemical transformation. Galactic consciousness. History taught to us from the depths of space by plants living on Earth. Visions in a dark room that light the candle of love in our hearts. A great deal of the art I have created in my life comes from a poem I wrote when I was 18 inspired by my early initiations with the spirit molecule. I was in several bands in my twenties where I even attempted to create a concept album around the poem and theme that it was inspired by. The poem is as follows:

Seasons, patterns, fall weather, fluxing change,
Planets, matter, meiosis and genome exchange,

The Id and Ego all smashed against the sky,
Forced to see though, a biosphere now gone awry,

Dreaming, drifting, gravity holding things in place,
Memory sifting, life and death on a rock in space.”

“This piece started as a commission piece. Originally, I was given the basic parameters of doing a tree in a field that shows peace and tranquility. It is a piece I worked on throughout 2020, and eventually it became more important and spiritually symbolic than the original commission idea. The commissioner of the piece saw an updated photo of the painting and wanted me to remove Metatron’s Cube from the image even after I explained its symbolism. He had originally said I had total freedom with the piece, and so I decided it was best to leave the image how it had developed and respectfully decline the commision. As Above, So Below. Self reflecting self. This piece was a lesson in not compromising my artistic vision for an audience or for profit, but remaining true to myself and the freedom of creativity.”
