Warband
 expands on the original game by introducing a sixth faction (the Sarranid Sultanate), increasing political options, adding the ability for the player to start their own faction, and incorporating multiplayer modes. Reviews of the game were generally favorable, with the addition of multiplayer.[7] The game places a focus on horse-mounted combat and giving orders to one's warband in the field, such as telling archers to hold a position or infantry to use blunt weapons.

Mount & Blade: Warband
 is a sandbox role-playing game that takes place in the medieval land of Calradia. At the start of the game, the player customizes the character and is spawned into the world. Traveling around the overworld map is done by pointing and clicking on the desired location. If the player encounters other parties, combat may occur, at which point the game switches to real time. If the player wins the battle, their level of renown increases. With enough renown, the player can work for lords, set up their own fiefs, attack towns, and hire more soldiers. The player can also encounter companions across the map to add abilities to their warband. The game is non-linear and has no set objectives, but a common goal is to conquer the entirety of Calradia.

 is a stand-alone expansion pack for its predecessor, the action role-playing video game 
Mount&Blade
. The game was developed by TaleWorlds and was published by Paradox Interactive on March 30, 2010.[1]


Multiplayer for Mount&Blade: Warband includes a lobby with LAN and internet capabilities and rooms with a maximum of 200 players. In-game you could choose classes below the maximum upgrade. For example you could choose from a Swadian Infantry, Swadian Crossbowman, or a Swadian Man-at-Arms. You can also customize your in-game character with the money that you get from killing other players. The amount of money that you start with is decided by the host.


Within the trial version, one can amass a large amount of experience with the game. This is the period in which a player learns about the game's mechanics and fighting. Eventually the character will understand in-game politics and begin to choose different pathways in character creation to boost their chances of being a vassal. Several players who still rely on the trial version of the game can easily become vassals of their chosen faction due to their experience with the game.


Yes, there are many ways to raise your own army. You may recruit basic warriors from villages for a low price. However, these will usually be poorly trained novices. Another option is visiting taverns within the towns, and hiring seasoned mercenaries. These hired soldiers will be well trained, but offer their services at a higher price. Also located in the taverns are heroes who may be convinced to join your party after you talk to them. Heroes are very useful since they do not die in battles, and keep accumulating experience, just like your own in-game character. They also add their skills like engineering and first aid to your warband.





Yes. You will need some amount of 'Renown' points and a good relation with the king, before a king may accept you as his vassal. The easiest way to earn renown points is by winning tournaments or battles. Check your renown points at any time by clicking on the "Reports" button. Once a king takes you on as his vassal, he may grant you villages, castles and towns that you conquered in combat.

The higher your right to rule is, the more likely lords will be to see you as the real monarch and even join you. If you have a low right to rule, other kingdoms will take you as a renegade, and other lords may not join your faction when you attempt to persuade them. Having low right to rule also means that the lords in different factions will not respect you as much when you talk to them. This can take the form of the lords stating that 'You are a lord with no master' and vice versa after you talk to them.


Remember that you, the player, are just a foreigner in Calradia, and getting right to rule is very difficult. Getting right to rule takes time. It is advised that before you start a nation of your own, you prepare yourself enough so that the lords respect/know you. Note that Right to Rule has no impact on whether or not other factions declare war on you in Warband. It is a common mistaken belief that it does. However the internal script that decides to declare war does not check this variable.


To prevent a companion from objecting and no longer being able to be sent out to raise your right to rule, you should not recruit the party member who objects until the one they object to has already been sent out, or you can alternatively dismiss the objector when you are about to send your companion on a mission to raise right to rule (and then rehire the dismissed companion if you want) (The objector companion will object if you hire him/her before the objected returns from the mission.).


It is possible to have every companion recruited and send all but one on a mission to raise your right to rule, without having to dismiss anyone, if you follow the above list in reverse order. Start with Baheshtur (or whomever you prefer) and dismiss Alayen (the objector) beforehand. Once a companion has already performed their mission to raise your right to rule it no longer matters if they object to whomever you send out. There is a small time delay before the objection occurs, so if you recruit a companion who would object to another companion who has already been sent, you can immediately send the objecting companion before he or she has time to object.


After creating your own kingdom, you can talk to your minister to dispatch an emissary to another kingdom expressing good wish. Under certain conditions, they will return with a letter, recognizing you as monarch. The bonus is +10. Otherwise, the letter will say the king merely refer to you as your name, omitting any title, which will not give you any right to rule.


I started a new game with Arwa trying to overthrow sultan, but at some point Khergits came and captured Shariz. Although the main Sarranid faction is at war with Khergits they never try to recapture Shariz and I am left with a hole in my territory. I am very friendly with Khergits and I don't want to go to war with them just to get Shariz. Is there any way to get Shariz for myself? My plan was to let Sarranids get it back and then I would capture it from them. I am so frustrated right now that I would use a cheat to change the ownership of Shariz to myself if such a thing is possible. I also tried using the cheat menu to make Sarranids attack Shariz, but they just walk for a second towards it and then quit. Please help.


If you're looking to conquer it for yourself, and not for another faction you can use the cheat menu to do this pretty easily. The only caveat being you'll have to besiege the city yourself as there isn't a cheat I've heard of to outright switch ownership.


the thing is, if you in the character creation choose x faction you will get only troops of that x faction when you get your own kingdom but, if you are a lord of x kingdom you only get the troops fo that x kingdom you are lord understand? you cannot change the troops you recluit when you are a king, only the nation

As for the type of game it is, it's one of those proto-Devil May Cry brawlers that tried to take the burgeoning character action format in its own direction before the DMC games (and God of War) all but codified the genre. While Guts has some powerful attacks, he's limited by the large size and slow speed of his main weapon: the enormous Dragonslayer blade. Often, he'll need to find a good spot to plant himself and then start swinging, and keep moving when his position is no longer tactically viable. In addition, the player can make use of a "berserk mode" which temporarily makes Guts invincible and a lot stronger, as well as Guts's various gadgets including the cannon concealed in his artificial arm, a few healing tinctures courtesy of Puck's medicinal fairy dust and the handful of throwing knives and bombs he keeps on his person. All of these additional items are in limited supply but will frequently restock after each stage, so the game all but insists that the player rely on their resourcefulness and strategic wits to determine the best time to use them. Generally speaking, the cannon's best reserved for bosses, the knives for ranged units who try to stay out of reach of Guts's melee attacks and the bombs for when Guts gets swarmed by weaker enemies. Because berserk mode fully heals Guts each time it activates, the player can often try to keep fighting to fill its gauge before they run out of health, or opt to use up one of their limited full heal items and not risk dying. Like Chaos Legion, another DMC peer/also-ran that failed to attract much attention, it's not the sort of character action game where you can wade into every enemy encounter with your sword swinging: doing so is likely to get you killed fast. It's a little more thoughtful than it would first appear, and its difficulty appears to have put a lot of people off.
