“The Emperor Rx” (2022) focused on a macro perspective of the state of the world, whereas “Flawless” moves the political context into a more micro perspective, how humans relate and exist in the world and in their own reality. “Flawless” circles around topics of self-perspective, self-recovery and self-acceptance, as well as the effects of big industries on climate change and the human race.

CIERŃ started writing the songs in 2022 and began recording them in October 2023 with Boris Wilsdorf at andereBaustelle Tonstudio (home of Einstürzende Neubauten) in Berlin, Germany. Wilsdorf also mixed the 4 songs and then they were sent to Maurizio Baggio at La Distilleria in Vicenza, Italy for final mastering.

CIERŃ is an anarcho post punk band from Berlin with members from Vancouver, Bogotá, Los Angeles and Quito. Collectively they combine their political values, philosophical principles and passion for punk music.
