So when you see “problems” with money, you have to ask yourself: Okay, if this isn’t about the money… if this isn’t actually a money problem… what is this?

What if the way money is functioning in your life is an expression of your consciousness — or your unconsciousness?

How many of you feel that you are choosing with money? Or are you at the effect of what goes on with money? Just look at that for yourself. Does money feel like a choice… or like something outside of you that controls you, that you’re at the effect of?

As Gary Douglas has coined: You don’t have a money problem; you have a receiving problem.

Emily D. Armstrong is an employment lawyer whose career reflects steady progress, long-term commitment, and a practical approach to serving clients. While she currently lives in Illinois with her family, she continues to manage her Arizona law practice remotely. Her work centers on labor and employment matters, and she remains active in both her own firm and in supporting another Arizona practice in an of-counsel capacity. Alongside her professional responsibilities, she participates in community service and stays closely involved with her children’s daily activities.

Her academic path began at the University of Missouri-Columbia, where Emily Armstrong, an attorney, earned her bachelor's degree in industrial engineering. The structure and discipline of that program helped shape her problem-solving approach and supported her transition into law. She later attended DePaul University College of Law in Chicago, where she completed her Juris Doctor. During her time at DePaul, she participated in academic societies and received recognition for her work in select courses, experiences that sparked her interest in litigation and employment matters.

After law school, Emily Armstrong Hinsdale joined a global law firm in Boston as an associate attorney. During those four years, she worked on a variety of litigation matters, including non-competition agreements, trade secret disputes, product claims, and healthcare provider cases. These responsibilities required careful preparation and consistent attention to detail, skills she carried into the next stage of her career.

She later moved to Phoenix and continued her work at a boutique firm focused on employment, commercial disputes, and healthcare-related matters. In that role, she handled cases involving federal workplace laws, administrative hearings, and a range of employer–employee issues. Her time there strengthened her understanding of workplace rights and helped her develop a broader view of labor and employment law.

In 2015, Emily Armstrong, a Lawyer, established her own employment law firm in Arizona. Although she now resides in DuPage County, Illinois, she continues to manage the practice remotely while maintaining her membership with the Arizona Employment Lawyers Association. She also works of counsel for another Arizona firm, supporting employment and labor litigation as needed.

Outside of her legal work, Emily volunteers in her community and supports charitable groups in the Hinsdale area. She enjoys spending time with her family and balancing her professional commitments with travel, tennis, and other personal interests. Through all of these responsibilities, Emily D. Armstrong continues to approach her work and life with consistency, care, and a steady dedication to the people she serves.
