En un teatro lúgubre, las marionetas colgaban listas, con sus extremidades sujetas a finos hilos. Cuando empezó la música, empezaron a moverse, bailando al compás como si estuvieran vivas. Pero a cada paso, una marioneta perdía una pierna, otra dejaba colgar el brazo mientras la melodía seguía sonando. Los hilos tiraban de ellas hacia delante y hacia atrás hasta que no eran más que un amasijo de madera e hilo. Al final, se descolgaron del escenario, la música se apagó y el público aplaudió como si se tratara del clímax de una gran comedia que siempre vuelve a empezar.

In a gloomy theater, the puppets hung ready, their limbs attached to thin strings. When the music started, they began to move, dancing to the beat as if they were alive. But with each step, one puppet lost a leg, another let its arm dangle as the melody continued to play. The strings pulled them back and forth until they were nothing but a mess of wood and thread. At the end, they dangled off the stage, the music faded away and the audience clapped as if this was the climax of a great comedy that always starts all over again.

As so often happens in life, sometimes you get exactly what you want, and then you realise it's not so great after all. Oh yes, and then there's that thing with the mysterious smile - but who knows what that really means.  Seaweed? 😘

He found solace in the silence of the night, but the loneliness gnawed at him. After a while, he discovered a spark in the distance that led him - the light of music and community. China grabs your smartphone, and if you talk too loudly about “democracy,” woof – down go your social credit scores! Russia turns off the gas if you start cozying up to the opposition, and the USA? Well, they’ve got drones, no need for dogs – just a slight increase in your carbon footprint and bam. But don’t worry, the dog’s still alive. It’s all about control, not violence – at least not directly. As long as you stay quiet, follow the rules, and keep your head down, Fido’s staying right by your side. And if things do go wrong? Well, let’s just say, dogs don’t live forever. But hey, this is all fiction. Or is it? 😘

Right-wing conservative and fascist movements are increasingly gaining influence - from the USA under Trump to Russia and China. Authoritarian systems rely on nationalism, enemy stereotypes and state control to consolidate their power. They work with fear and torture. No legitimacy to them. Democracies are under pressure, while disinformation and propaganda are deliberately stirring up insecurity. But what can the individual do? Show civil courage, consume critical media, get politically involved and vote. Democracy thrives on participation - those who remain silent strengthen authoritarianism. United against fascism 💪🙏🏻

Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin share a dangerous worldview: control over participation, power over human rights. Both show contempt for democratic structures—Trump through populist attacks on courts, the media, and election results; Putin through brutal repression, state-controlled elections, and open violence against dissidents.

Their goal: an authoritarian system that promotes nationalism, personality cults, and scapegoating. Minority rights, press freedom, and political diversity? To them, these are signs of weakness, not strength. This mindset strongly echoes the neofascist ideologies of the 20th century.

But the real danger lies not only in their ambitions, but in society's silence. Fascism doesn’t begin with shouting—it begins quietly, with indifference, fear, and the hope that one will be spared.

If we want democracy, we must defend it—with music, resistance, and a clear stance against those who seek to erode it. Trump and Putin do not stand for strength. They stand for regression and racism.
