Putting it simply the L.A.-born Nels Cline's resume' is so deep, to quote Mark Eitzel, it "would make the ocean proud." The guitarist and composer is one of the most respected names in the business and though he's perhaps best known these days for being the guitarist of Wilco, let's not single story Mr. Cline, because his body
of work is varied and extensive. Aside from his early jazz work with his twin brother Alex, he's played with everyone from the Geraldine Fibbers to Mike Watt to Thurston Moore. But that doesn't even scratch the surface. Cline has played on close to 200 albums in jazz, pop, rock, country, and experimental music. Let me give you a few of those 200 to play with: Yoko Ono, Henry Kaiser, Firehose, Wayne Kramer, Rickie Lee Jones, John Zorn, Ramblin' Jack Elliot, Neil Finn, Lee Ranaldo and Chris Stamey. And belive me when I tell you that's a heavily expurgated list. Over the years Cline has been in bands with his pal Mike Watt Floored By Four, band with his wife Yuka Honda of Cibo Matto and he's had the Nels Cline Singers, the Nels Cline Trio, and the Nels Cline 4. Now comes The Consentrik Quartet, which is Cline along with saxophonist Ingrid Laubrock, bassist Chirs Lightcap and drummer Tom Rainey. Improvisational, experimental and downright wonderful, the band's
debut album is a profound blend of rich cycle grooves, unexpected rhythmic excursions, and subtle meter innovations. It's marvelous work. Filled with delicate percussive brushes, virtuoso sax fills, prowling bass lines
idiosyncratic sax melodies and Cline's nimble guitar lines moving through each composition with dextrous finesse, it's hard to think of a richer listening experience in recent memory. It's hard to think of a nicer guy as well--Nels
is a lovely fellow and now you get to meet him.

I have an ongoing collaboration since 2018 with my friend Michael who lives in both Poland and LA. In the summer of 2025, Michael had a series of sessions with professional musician Avi on both guitar and vocals. I did production work and added bass. Beautiful stuff. This is a version of Wilco's Company In My Back.

My mission is to discover and share the most intriguing music I can get my ears on. I always strive for a discerning sensibility to bring together diverse selections. From dance-floors to galleries and lounges, even yoga studios, I adapt well to immerse each space and paint the walls with just the right music for the moment. At once spacious and solid, spontaneous and cohesive, amusing and genuine.

DJ experience began on WRLC college radio ['95-'99] and continued with residencies at several eclectic venues in downtown Jersey City. While playing the bars of NYC and NJ has its charm, I also enjoy bringing music to warehouse spaces, transit plazas, backyards and community gardens, as well as forgotten corners of the forest.

From 2002-17, my humble abode was a cozy live/work space we call Railroad Studio. Serving as an audio/design lab, Railroad has been a memorable feature of city-wide events, bursting with musical performances, live painting and video projection. Our collective includes visual artist Jessie Cara [Railroad's co-creator], local indie-folk band Land of the Look Behind, projectionists Anna Almquist and Liv Arts, light sculptor Norm Francoeur, and vocalists Sirena, Carolyn Light and Bioluminescence. House concerts featured Spinning Leaves [Philly], Lost Leaders [NYC] and Las Vandelays [NJ].

In summer of 2015, we expanded to a sister space in the woodlands north of Philadelphia known as Culture Den, where we merged music, visual arts, and wellness to build community, support local entrepreneurs and foster creativity... Me gusta compartir la música que descubro y que los algoritmos  suelen pasar por alto. El universo musical está repleto de diamantes, pero hay que tener paciencia para descubrirlos.  Difundir y dignificar esa música es el objeto de este podcast que comenzó en 2019.
        En cuanto a mí, nací en Gandia a finales de los 50 del pasado siglo.   Soy autor  de "Paseos con Montaigne" (Universo de Letras, 2023), un libro a mitad camino entre las memorias y el ensayo, y de dos libros de relatos  ("El surco es el alma del vinilo" -Ediciones Oblicuas, 2015, y "De la duración del amor" -Premio Caja España de Libro de Cuentos 2008).
