Slynk & Woofax have teamed up for an epic collaboration merging their funky and glitchy styles, out February 9th on Gravitas Recordings. Both artists are deeply connected in the Shambhala and funky glitch-hop scene, and this collaboration finally merges their styles into something fresh.  After Woofax’s recent collaborations on Gravitas we’ve been eager to hear more, and bringing along the legendary Slynk to the Gravitas family is something we are very excited for.  Slynk and Woofax both are amazing Ableton music production teachers on their Youtube and Patreons, another core value that stays true to the roots of Gravitas Recordings.  This track brings us back to the golden age of funky glitch-hop, and these artists are some of the best in the scene for this classic sound!

Plugin The Speakers opens with a funky bass guitar groove with an irresistible groove and swagger.  It quickly builds into a heavy glitch-hop drop following a similar groove and having a call and response with funky distorted guitar riffs.  The song has an old school sound and its sampling and breakdowns creates an unreal jump back and forth with glitch-hop sounds and live guitar and funk elements.

BIO:
For over a decade, WOOFAX was the major musical creative force behind the electronic music groups Terravita and Hot Pink Delorean. His original music and involved projects have been licensed to entertainment on networks such as FOX, MTV, CBS, Netflix and more. 

He has written, engineered and consulted dozens of hit electronic tracks in various genres. Under his pseudonym Tremourz, he released charting hit singles including the North American dubstep anthem, “Sexy Party” with J Rabbit and his own Terravita remix of the same song.
Woofax came swinging out of the gate, with his release "Spoiler Alert" charting #1 for weeks on the Beatport Glitch hop charts. His music was quickly picked up by several labels such as Circus Records, Gravitas, Dim mak, Impossible Records, Jungle Cakes,  PLAY ME, Sleeveless Records and Westwood Recordings.

In 2020, his focus shifted to his own label, WOOFAX MUSIC, created exclusively to release his own evolving aesthetic of 85-95 BPM electronic bass music. Paired with his label is the WOOFAX RADIO PODCAST,  a self-hosted show that premieres new tracks from the label and provides fresh curation to the electronic bass music landscape. 

As well as being an international electronic writer, producer and performer, Woofax is also a celebrated mixing and mastering engineer. 

His very long and diverse list of clients include: Firepower records, The Funk Hunter's Westwood recordings, and the GRAMMY award winning artists The Crystal Method. He engineered many songs from the beginning of Dillon Francis’ career and consulted and assisted mastering on Excision's “Codename X” album. 

On top of all that, he was the lead sound designer at the internationally acclaimed loudspeaker company PK Sound for several years. He designed DSP presets for their flagship products and worked heavily with the launch the to "Gravity" line of subwoofers.

WOOFAX is here to bring awesome music of all sorts to old and new friends alike with skills, style and energy.
