As the longest night of the year unfolds, we gathered as a community to honour the depth of our inner worlds and the promise of renewal.
An evening of soulful celebration — where the spirit of the solstice met the heartbeat of community.

We Indulged in the warmth of sacred cacao at the bar, igniting the senses and connecting our earth’s abundance.

We where guided through somatic movement, releasing layers held in the body, before we surrounded to the rhythms of the ecstatic dance journey shedding the old and awaken the light within.

As the night softened, the sound healing carried us inward, soothing the nervous system and inviting deep integration.

Together, we weaved a night of remembrance, reverence, and radiant transformation.

This was Ecstasis.

In the stillness of a world on pause ⟢ closed borders, endless lockdowns, international hibernation ⟣ there bloomed a rare moment of connection in the southwest of Australia. Amidst the uncertainty of 2020, Blossom Festival brought us Wildflower: an intimate gathering that reminded us of the power of music, movement, and togetherness, in a time of restricted freedom.

This delightful downtempo morning set on the main stage was a gentle unfolding — a blissful sunrise soundtrack of harmonic melodies and unfurling rhythms to welcome the dawn of a new day in a challenging era felt worldwide. This set is a memory etched in golden light and was an absolute honour to play.

Introducing Ouroboros: An Ecstatic Bass Journey

Ecstatic Dance is both a practice and a community that has had a profound impact on my life; these dances are containers where music becomes medicine, movement becomes prayer, and strangers become family.

After attending my first Ecstatic Dance in Venice Beach back in 2020, I knew I had discovered something special. Since then, it’s been a dream of mine to DJ at Ecstatic Dance events around the world and contribute to these powerful, intentional spaces.

There’s nothing quite like the energy of a dance floor where everyone is fully present, open-hearted, and moving with purpose. As a DJ, producer & artist, I’m honoured to shape that experience by telling a story through sound and guiding a collective journey.

Ouroboros is an ecstatic dance style mix that is the result of years of experimentation, growth, and devotion to the craft. A 90-minute sonic offering of bass, medicine, & alchemy.

I hope you feel the love & intention woven into every beat. 🐍✨🔊

A sonic smorgasbord spanning chunky bass house, tribal trap, tasty techno, fresh breaks, rich electronica and more— all seasoned with a worldly spice and wrapped in a bass-driven experience that will leave you craving more. With a sound that perks the ears of the rhythmically curious, every set is a carefully curated journey inviting listeners on a tantalising, interwoven adventure through East and West. Temple Step. Music Producer, DJ, Sound Healer and Ceremonial Alchemist has been honing his craft in music for over 32 years. During this time he has had multiple collaborative producers groups, performed around the globe, shared countless Ecstatic Dance and Festival Sets, Co-developed Motiv Music, his music production business and Ecstatic Dance Melbourne.
 
His artist intention is to create transformative music that empowers, moves emotion and creates connection. His multicultural ingenious influences and diverse electronic music genres take the listener on a journey throughout planetary cultures and beyond.
 
To create this, Temple Step collaborates with sacred world musicians, vocalists and neo shamans from around the globe including Deya Dova, Desert Dwellers, Kalya Scintilla, Nessi Gomes, Darpan, Tahir Qawwal, Peruquois, Dysphemic, Ganga Giri, Murray Kyle, Kaliash Kokopelli, Raio, and Joony Joon.

Nightshade emerged from the questionable liquids of the pre-social media New York City underground bass scene. Since then, she’s played everything from grimy warehouse basements to renegade forest raves to massive festivals, like Warped Tour, Burning Man, Love Parade, Firefly, Candyball, Whistle, Elements, Therapy, and Transformus- among other gloriously unhinged dancefloors.

Her guest mixes have been featured on DNB Radio, Kind Radio, Bass Movement, State of the Art, Newy Bass Crew Series (AUS), and Radio Ninja. Some of them even on purpose.

Unapologetically eclectic, Nightshade’s sets are a magnetic blend of sounds: deep drum & bass meets melodic instrumentals and hip hop, woven together with heavy basslines, captivating vocals, and liquid grooves. 

She loves pairing artists who have zero business being mixed together, hunting down unlikely remixes, and fleshing out wildly specific concepts like: a vintage DNB set sampling only tunes from the late 40s to early 60s, a collection of dance remixes of chart-toppers spanning seven decades, or a global DNB mix rooted in the sounds of ancient traditional instruments from across the world.

Primarily known for drum & bass, she occasionally toys with breaks, house, and downtempo—but at heart, she’s forever a junglist.

Nightshade doesn’t color outside the lines, she just finds weirder crayons. Expect reckless dancefloor DNB… or a plot twist with a sly grin. She’s dropped opera at outlaws, reworked showtunes at raves, shamelessly blended metal remixes with pop, and still believes tribal trap and techstep could be friends. From anthemic rollers to deep cut oddities, her selections always land exactly where they should.

Officially Boston-based, unofficially wherever the sub-woofer calls. Still underground. Still unpredictable. Still ruining shoes in the best way possible.
