With contributions from label co-founder Hamdi Ryder and talented artists like Moncef Sounds, Khemir, ANNUN, Mood, and Nesta, the compilation celebrates the collective spirit while allowing each artist’s individuality to shine. The EP begins with a serpentine glide, “Ultra Girl (Elastic 140 Vision),” a track that teeters between taut control and the unraveling of unknown frequencies. The percussive scaffolding is crisp yet elastic, stretching and contracting like the breath of a restless machine. Abstract elements slither through the arrangement—percussive droplets falling unpredictably, shimmering textures melting into each other like ink in water. There is a sense of perpetual motion, a kinetic energy that pulses with the urgency of something unseen rushing past in the dark.

The track feels like the remnants of a once-bustling habitat, now reclaimed by shadows and creeping vines. It is hypnotic yet ominous, inviting the listener to step off the path and into the unknown.

Torture the Artist - your source for contemporary electronic music

Torture the Artist is a webzine, or a magazine made for the internet, geared towards those with a passion for contemporary electronic music, with subgenres including Techno, Tech House, Deep House and Eletronica, as well as a small amount of Indie and Alternative. Founded in 2014 by Holger Breuer, a German native and lover of the arts, Torture the Artist now consists of five team members from all around the world.

In addition to publishing interviews, music reviews, DJ charts and track premieres, the webzine hosts out a  podcast series called 'art:casts'. This medium gives DJs and producers the artistic freedom to highlight their different musical styles while not being restricted by factors such as setting, and connecting them to a wider audience. 

Being in its ninth year, Torture the Artist has gained a strong and active online support group, including music enthusiasts to label managers and artists themselves, creating a cohesive community with music as their bond.
