The evening call (Gatha) traditionally follows the final meditation at a Sesshin (period of intense contemplation) in a Zendo (Jap. literally "place of the way") or monastery of Zen Buddhism.
The lyrics are hundreds of years old and have been  new translated and edited for this song.
