Another rough banjo tune (I'll be good eventually) using the clawhammer technique on my 100+ year old 5-string, nylgut strung, zither banjo, tuned to a mountain moonshine modal type fiasco in G.  Recorded on my Alexander Graham.

Mountain Moonshine Modal

Another little mountain type lick on my Zither Banjo in the clawhammer style.  This time in some sort of open C minor tuning.  Been going down the clawhammer path for a month now and am finally feeling happy with my progress.  (Note in the picture the six tuning pegs.  Although the zither banjo has only five strings, there are six tuning pegs, supposedly for aesthetic reasons in that it maintains symmetry.  Another interesting fact regarding the zither banjo is that the 5th "drone" string actually enters a tunnel at the fifth fret that emerges above the nut at the head to be tuned there... odd).
