A fano plane is the finite projective plane of order 2 with the smallest possible number of points and lines: 7 points and 7 lines, with 3 points on every line and 3 lines through every point. Musically it creates a drifting rhythmic sensation in which elements slowly move out of time and then readjust. The track also utilizes elements of the fano plane definition - with a section in 7/4, and 3 drops.

In mathematics, the Leech lattice is an even unimodular lattice in 24-dimensional Euclidean space. Furthermore, quantizers can use such a lattice to minimize error. This lattice has also been used to describe bosonic string theory, compactified on the 24-dimensional quotient torus and orbifolded by a two-element reflection group. All this served as inspirational fuel for making this track, with the hope it will give you the fuel to transcend 4D space-time ;-)

Leech Lattice

In Japanese, "Maho no kazu" is a translation for "magic number". In nuclear physics, magic numbers refer to a specific number of protons or neutrons to form a complete nucleon shell and are therefore much more stable than other nuclei. By exploring adding and subtracting sonic elements, we strived to find a balance between stability and instability, creating a visceral journey through sound.

Named after the Greek letter symbolizing the golden ratio (a central factor of the tuning system which all of Tahabdra's music is produced in), PHI is the first chapter of the duo's exploration into using their personally crafted tuning system with forward thinking bass music. “We are focused on making music that is both mentally and physiologically stimulating which gets heads bobbing and booties shaking.” This release is the first step in Tahabdra musical self-discovery emanating the DNA repair frequency, 528Hz, with connecting listeners deeper to nature through the usage of the universal constants - the golden ratio and the Fibonacci sequence, which are found on many levels of the natural world.

Named after the "Calico Tanks" trail in Red Rocks National Park a little outside of Las Vegas, this track is a tale of a post-apocalyptic desert cruiser searching for light in the darkest places. Produced using 528Hz, the golden ratio, & Fibonacci sequence in the tuning, this track strives to not only take you on a mind-bending, adrenaline fueled ride but also have a positive effect at a cellular level while bringing listeners closer to a natural homeostasis through the use of the numerical roots of the natural world.

TAHUL, meaning "change" in Arabic, is a multifaceted take on 
metamorphosis. On one level, the track is representative of a 
forward progression in music, from using the standard yet 
arbitrary 12-tone equal temperament, which has been the 
most common tuning system in Western music since the late 18th century/19th century, to using a tuning system based on the biologically beneficial frequency (528Hz - see here: bit.ly/528HzEthanolStudy and here: bit.ly/528hzendo) as well as the numerical roots of the natural world - the golden ratio & fibonacci sequence. On another level, the track attempts to capture the experience of profound change sweeping through one's life. The track features a rolling, growling bass line, symbolic of the intense forward motion of journeying through time, then breaks down to a minimal saturated 808 section conjuring the movement into a time of instability and tension. Finally, the track climaxes with a heavy, hypnotic drop evoking the explosive transition out of crisis and onto a plane of growth and forward momentum in a positive direction.

Nosaro comes from combining two words from two different languages - "nolaka" meaning "aggressive" in Zulu and "isaro" meaning "meditation" in Yoruba. The blending of these concepts captures the essence of this release. Both "Metsa" (track #1) and "Negoma" (track #2) are hard hitting, aggressive dance tracks fueled by sharp angular rhythms and overdriven neuro bass lines. However, by using the DNA resonant frequency along with the golden ratio & fibonacci in the tuning system, in the way the notes are organized and used, our intention is to ease tension and suffering through this music, therefore introducing a paradox. Normally one does not think of meditation as being aggressive, rather quite the opposite. But with these two tracks, we invite you to break the mold and think on the idea that aggression can be a positive, therapeutic experience when channeled into a constructive, healthy outlet. So go ahead and channel your inner beast while finding a sense of serenity with Nosaro.

Derived from one of the sources that contributed to our name, Samantabhadra - a Primordial Buddha/bodhisattva, this track represents a more introspective journey than our previous work.
