SAMAN marks a new direction for us. Derived from one of the sources that contributed to our name, Samantabhadra - a Primordial Buddha/bodhisattva, this track represents a more introspective journey than our previous work. A meditative yet driven piece, SAMAN uses our unique tuning system based on the biologically beneficial 528Hz frequency along with the numerical roots of the natural world - the golden ratio and Fibonacci sequence, to provide an aid with an internal alignment with the essence of nature, evoking the presence of the primordial spirit.

I drew a concept for this remix, based around the hook vocal from the original version "your a million miles from reality". 

i imagined myself undergoing brain surgery, drifting in and out of consciousness whilst it was taking place, on one hand hearing the instruments as they sliced and drilled my brain and then my mind using those sounds and emotions to create an alternate reality deep within the expanses of space, an environment very mechanical,sharp and scientifically structured....

On January 5th 2020, I had the pleasure of performing an ambient set at the Saenger Theater in New Orleans as part of the Tipper & Friends family reunion...

In preparation for the show, I created a couple remixes & live-edits to include in my set. One of those pieces was Adam Basanta's 'A Glass Is Not a Glass' = A beautiful electroacoustic exploration into Glass, Resonance, Breakage, and most everything in between.   

After the performance, I contacted Adam and he was kind enough to grant me permission to give away my edit as a promo/freebie/keepsake for anyone who might be interested. Hopefully you enjoy!
