I think this is my favorite song I've done for this little project.
Also, while I know that B.O.B. only has the voice of a cowboy, imagining a song for him with a western leitmotif was too cute to pass up :P

It's Raining Back On Earth

The idea came from when I was thinking about Ganon's laugh from the Zelda II Game Over screen and "Feel Gooderang, Inc." at more or less the same time. I think I did a good job of emulating the "Half Singing, Half Talking" effect for that first part.

I wanted to transcribe this song, so I started doing it. Initially, though, I couldn't get the beat right, and I also had most of the instruments from "Hotel" in use already, so I inserted the background guitar deal, made it match the other notes, and then just kinda did the rest of the song.

I pitched 'Blue Wrath Hotel' up in FL Studio to see if I could get it to match the pitch of the original 'Hotel' background guitar, and I found that it sounded good at +240. Then, I slowed the tempo from 140 to 96 (the tempo of IRSWE), and I liked how THAT sounded too; made for a good combination. Finally, to add to the chillness effect, I removed some of the background guitar's notes. Then, I did a little bit of moving around for the Vives parts. Obviously, most of the instruments were changed to match that of IRSWE; multiple instruments use the Vives instrument, so at certain points, it makes it sound like improv jazz, which is a nice bonus.

By the way, I made the sprite edits you see in the image, if that wasn't obvious.

where's the makoka stone?! where's anything?! where?! where?! where?! *slip*

It annoys me that the guy neglected to include pitch-bending like the original song has-- SynthString 1 has a delayed attack on it that KIND of simulates it though, so he gets a pass. The original definitely sounds a lot fuller than this punk's MIDI though, I had trouble getting it to sound less empty. Got a kick out of writing in the harmony I'd been singing to myself after listening a few times, though. 
The fact that I was able to harmonize with it is the mark of good backing instrument construction, because otherwise I'd TRY to harmonize and sound like shit because I'm a loser like that bombing keyboard class has totally shaken my confidence because it revealed to me how much of a procrastinating weak-willed bastard I am when the going gets tough.

Sorry if uhhh the volume for tracks varies, or is just relatively all-over-the-place. Even though I usually keep my system vol. at 52, there have been times where I've changed it and forgot that I did, then started working on a project.

Q: Why do I use the Wario Land 4 soundfont to some capacity for so many tracks?
A: Because I love the way it sounds, obviously. Half the reason why I'll start making a MIDI in the first place is that I want to hear what it'd sound like with the Wario Land 4 soundfont.
