Joe Black is a very street orientated lyricist. His lyrics are often very graphic, as he talks about his  trails and tribulations growing up in Islington. He has a certain way with words that keep the listener  interested in what he has to say. Joe Black started out emceeing to speed garage in 1998. 

He attended the music workshop at  George Orwell School which was ran by Heartless Cru’s DJ Fonti. He started rapping to Hip Hop in  2000 whilst doing a prison sentence. However, he didn’t start taking it seriously until his good friend  Felony introduced his to his cousins, Real Gees. It was at the Real Gees studio where people started to take notice of him. He recorded eight tracks  at his first recording session.  Together with Real Gees, he went on to produce 2004’s Pedal Bike  Diaries. He went on to appear on the Hottest Mixtape of 2006, Mashtowns S.P.O.R.T.S. VOL 1. That further solidified his name as a promising lyricist. After a few collaborations with some local artists he received another prison sentence. He was released in September 2007 and  immediately got to work with his cousin Red. He recorded his second Mixtape, Business As Usual. He released the Business As Usual  just before Christmas 2007. It is currently in stores across London. Joe Black released Certified on the 1st of September 2008 in conjunction with Ruthless Recordz. That CD is available at Ruthless  Recordz and all other good record shops. 

Joe Black went on to release another Mixtape King of the Underground in February 2010 and has since performed with some of the  biggest names in the music scene right now (Rick Ross, Giggs, K Koke, Benny Banks, Hunt, Squeeks and Propane). He recently releaed the very well received mixtape project 'Realionaire.'

Drawing strong influences from the likes of Tupac, Biggie, and Styles P, DVS has always been a lover of music, but never really looked at it as a career. However, over the past year and a half he has seen things in a different light - after gaining thousands of dedicated fans across the UK. This Brixton-born rapper is about to take UK rap music to the next level.

"I’m trying to do a lot of things now," says DVS. "I just love music and I just hope it continues and goes further and further. A deal would be ideal, I mean, you are in it for the money really, but right now, I don’t even care about it. I don’t even see any profit out of music; I do it because I love it."

When it comes to UK rap, people are always going to be critical about the lyrical content. Even though the scene is healthy and popular with young people, it tends to be the older generation who claim that the music glamourizes street life. But DVS wants everyone to take a closer listen, because not everything is as negative as it seems. 

"I want people to just listen to my music closely. It’s not all about killing people, robbing people and selling drugs, like a lot of people might think. I talk about reality, pain and life. It’s just like Trevor McDonald reading the news; I just read it in a different way. A way that more people can relate to and understand."

With a mixtape, album and a few commercial singles in the pipeline, DVS is ready to take on the harsh critics and prove that UK rap is a genre to be reckoned with.

Bridging the gaps between grime, bass music and D&B, Trigga is one of the most versatile, talented micsmiths in the UK. A core member of the Shadow Demon Coalition and one of the key figures in the exciting Manchester bass movement, his lyrical skills have been in big demand since he was seven years old!

Brought up amid a thriving soundsystem culture, he was chatting on the one and only Saxon rig before he was out of short trousers. Bitten by the bug from that moment on, he’s never missed an opportunity to write new lyrics and hone his natural, relaxed-vibe flow. First on the pirates, then the big raves such as Hysteria, Pure X and the legendary Telepathy, Trigga’s rifled up the ranks of respectability with serious repeat bookings.

The same approach to Trigga’s skills can be found in the studio. With an ability to flex from grime-style to ragga to bona fide rap chatter, he’s in regular cohorts with some of the most forward-thinking producers across all shades of dance music. Currently working closely with Loefah’s Swamp family and fellow Manchester bass luminaries Zed Bias and MRK-1, there’s a whole wealth of exciting projects coming our way from Trigga very soon… And that’s before we get to the exciting Area161 project he’s currently devising.

Crucially aware of the powerful position an MC is in while never forgetting that his role on stage is primarily to entertain, Trigga ensures the perfect balance of consciousness and fun. Not just in his lyrical delivery, but in life; when he’s not in the studio or on stage he’s involved in community music based projects and workshops, providing a solid platform and firm guidance for the stars of tomorrow. This includes working with one of the UK’s most famous choreographers Arlene Phillips CBE for a seven minute performance to royalty at the opening ceremony of the Manchester Commonwealth games!
