Notes 10-11-2016:

First and foremost I want to state for the record how lucky I am to have been part of this project. Time and time again I am surprised and humbled by the talents of my fellow brothers and sisters here on the cloud.

Walk All Over Me was originally crafted by DeadLover80(DL). A little over a month ago, I approached him about opening up this track for an update/remix. DL graciously threw open the doors and invited me in.

DeadLover80:
DL was willing to re-record and engaged the update with an enthusiasm that was contagious. Always gracious and humble and honest... a fantastic production partner through the whole process. A talented artist and musician and a new friend.

You have my sincere gratitude and my humble thanks for allowing me to share the sonic space with you my friend.

Icarus Fire:
After setting up the lower end of the track the additional guitar work started coming in focus. I tried a couple of runs at the solo work and both DL and I agreed it was just not the thing the song needed. I approached a very talented guitar player Icarus Fire (IF) about taking the lead guitar spot. He accepted the offer and joined the team.

We had hit a point where I thought IF might be getting a little frustrated with what I was asking of him. I sent him a PM and told him, I know this isn't the usual style of music he plays on and appreciate all his effort...his response is the quote of the project.

"Hi Jeff, be quiet, I am really enjoying working on this" I think when the lead guitarist says that.. you know everything is going to be okay.

IF is an impressive guitarist and a consummate professional.. at intervals between solo tweaking its like he read my mind and knew what I was asking for. IF is just a bad ass guitarist and his ability to meld into this track..just awe inspiring.. it was fantastic working with you on this project my friend.

Legna:
Our female backing vocalist and late add of chance. Was practicing the bass work when company opens the studio door and proceeds to belt out the chorus.. Screwed up the bass practice session but I was like yeah we need to get you on the track. Thank you for everything.

Conclusion:

I have only positive things to say about this whole experience and the talented people who I got a chance to work with. In my world there is no greater gift than to share the noise...and I mean this my friends.. it was truly an honor to share it with you three.

Tainted Icarus has a protest/grunge/rock type of feel.   Sharing a similar vibe and feel of great bands like Alice In Chains, Nirvana, Cult. 

Slogging it out my home studio and trying to understand the deep sorcery that is Music Recording, Mixing, Mastering.    Jesus if someone had told me how damn complicated the topic was... I might have reconsidered.   

I keep it real, listen to your music and comment.  Be supportive of myself and others and I have your back.  I stay out of the rampant game playing and focus on finding real people making music. Is that you? If so pull up a chair and PM me.
