Jay Clarke returns to his imprint BLACKAXON for his 6th installment which will be dropping in 4 parts across September and October 2021. The project titled ‘Riders of the Storm’ was announced back in March across his social media channels where he made 4 previously unreleased original tracks available to remix. This was opened up to all production levels, with the idea to give lesser experienced artists the chance to remix, get creative, and most importantly have fun. Jay has now carefully selected his favourite remixes which will now be presented on his label.

of the Parisian warehouse scene, marked by intense feelings
of these night theaters. An invitation to the deepest
temptation of the passion, the freedom of body and mind.

Arts has now passed the landmark number of 100. But the reality is that we divided all the records into different categories, which makes the total number way bigger. Nevertheless, the label has become synonymous with Quality and Consistency with a wide range of timeless sounds from Techno, House, Dub Techno, Electro, championing some of the most respected names in the scene and pushing the youth and putting this same Youth at the very top of the Chain, the label Philosophy keeps rotating on a different level of Orbits trying to reach always the best result and never be influenced by anything in the Scene.

The Box is a meticulous work of One entire Year, every artist of the 20 selected delivered something that connects deeply with the label and the reason why they are part of it. 
The study goes beyond when Artists get different colors of palettes and a different surface to paint, their known soundscapes comes with something freer than the usual approach that they did in their singles. This is a pinnacle for a label that always placed Music in front of everything but kept the design and the aesthetics on a top level each release, each Year. ARTS V is here.

Just under a year after their last big impression on Rekids, Private Press are back with four more of their brilliant big room techno cuts. 

This Polish pair hail from Warsaw and are focused on producing high energy and dubbed out techno. Already this year they have released on the Ziema label and had a strong 2018 two EPs on the highly regarded Indigo Area. Their powerful sound is a perfect fit with the no frills Rekids label and these four tracks all do plenty of damage. 

Opener ‘Traces to Nowhere’ is an impossibly bristling track with razor sharp synth stabs and jostling drums that are redolent of the masterful Shed. Part old school, part a vision of the future, it is impeccably produced. 

‘Paper Clip’ is a haunting, high speed dub techno trip with eerie chords and sound design that keep you on edge, and ‘Wet Moon’ is a broken beat masterclass with sirens, tense breakdowns and icy hi hat ringlets that is archetypal club weaponry. 

Last but not least, the warm, atmospheric and unrelenting banger that is ‘The Struggle’ sweeps you up and carries you away on a classy techno vibe and rolling drums that you could listen to for days. 

This is a devastating EP of high impact, high quality techno.

When Belgium’s Bonzai Records released Cherrymoon Trax I “The House Of House” in 1994 it was like nothing I had ever heard before. It is a masterpiece that captures the energy and euphoria of rave culture from the mid 90s in such an iconic way. I picked this track out of my record collection a few months ago and felt compelled to create a tribute to this groundbreaking work. My respect to the original producers Yves Deruyter; Alex Stephenson; Frederico Santini and Franky Kloeck. (Thomas Schumacher)

Glasgow based b.mod drops his 2nd release on AFR with a gut buster of raw, hardware based Techno. Down To Us features three optimally produced, rough and ready originals and takes it up a notch with 2 killer remixes from Ike Dusk & E.L.I.A.S . 

b.mod has been on spirited form of late and this release sees him continue to forge his own sound through the medium of machines. Raw Uluz, Revolution & Shuttle don their own unique properties but remain with that singular tough, raw and hypnotic b.mod sound. 

With an already mighty discography, Ike Dusk drops a tripped out, stripped back and ominous version of Revolution. Rising star E.L.I.A.S completes the package in fine form as a crunching, tweekin’ rework of Shuttle closes the EP with some high energy.
