The path of the 2022 Sound Symptoms podcast series is started by our guest Illan Nicciani, DJ and producer from Nice, France, and based in Paris, France.

He is one of the promising artists, part of the French producers’ new generation, for whom 2009 was the start of mixing. His DJ skills made him easily cross to the production area and thanks to his hard work and passion for music, Illan signed on record labels such as Time Has Changed, Baile Muzik, etc. He is also currently the owner of his vinyl-only label “Dulceata”.

The love for music made Illan grow his inspiration by collecting vinyl records that he carefully selects, an important aspect for him for producing the purest sound possible.

The artist’s vibes and sounds traveled across different locations around the world from France to Argentina, Spain, Romania, or the UK.

Illan Nicciani describes his sets as “soft, tuneful romances built on subtle stirring accents both rousing and pacing”.

The 27th edition of our podcast series is signed by Monet Mane, a great mixture of sounds, skills, and vibes that ensure at least 60 minutes of energy supply.

Monet Mane is an artist based in Tunisia, who, from an early age, was caught in the music nets. He has a penchant for sounds and art, a desire for exploring the diversity of musical instruments, reasons that led him to feed his curiosity by playing the drums and other percussions.

One of his main influences in modern electronic music is The Chicago House movement that stylishly expanded his vision. Nowadays, his selections are creating a smooth bridge between minimal techno, microhouse, funky house, deep tech, and minimal. All of these define his style and the crowd’s cheerfulness.

As music is a universal language that connects cultures beyond borders and we are an independent platform focused on underground electronic music and arts, at this time we stand for peace, so we curated a Various Artists compilation to raise money to help Ukrainian artists during these hard times.

A lot of producers from many countries responded to our initiative, swiftly building on an archive that incorporates various shades and styles of electronic music, from laid-back and serene soundscapes to driving rhythms and textures. The first volume features 15 tracks signed by Ilya Yansima, Maayan Nidam feat. Life on planets, Matheiu & Max Jacobson, Nils Weimann, Odette, Orbit, Paul K, Peshka, Pîrvu, Ramona Yacef & Bill It, Shato, Unisson, Valeria Croft and Yaroslav Lenzyak.

All revenues collected from the sales will be directed to the bank accounts of the Ukrainian artists with whom we managed to get in touch, such as Animated Sounds, Peshka, Komponente, Yansima, Ilya Cheise, Vlad Barocco, Orbit as well as the initiative launched by Antipina Anna and Silat Beksi.
