Episode 115: Between The Worlds

This Exclusive DJ set, "Sounds Of The East (SOTE) - A Camel Journey to the Infinity" for radiOzora is from LOAI SHAKER (aka AzAz). He started his music journey by jamming with Nomads on the shore of the Red Sea with percussion instruments as djembe, tabla, dauf, etc, and then expanded as a DJ in his beloved Budapest in 2015. With the Impact of Covi19 (2020), Loai started new phase of his journey to produce his tracks, some of them released by @cafedeanatolia. Loai's taste is highly impacted by Sufism, Qawwali, Orientalism and Arabic Maksoum. Loai found it complicated to be labeled as one genre, every type of music got something to present, hence no promise of one music genre but promise to take you for a thoughtful trip through the desert and the jungle on a back of magical camel. The SOTE and Majaz sets are based on an imaginary group of animals living in the Desert, and on every occasion they gather to discuss something happening around the world, from political up to philosophical, and all with blend of oriental melodic tunes.. message is always hidden and very obvious in the same time.

'Voices of the Celestial World' is the first psychill album from collective artists The Moon and the Seven Stars.

With legendary being an ethereal vocal album, featuring beautifully crafted soundscapes acting as a powerful, meditative tapestry of ethereal vocals and down-tempo beats weaving the listener through a serene and mystical journey. if you liked Vangelis, Jean-Michel Jarre and Asura music from before the millenium, there you go.

'Amazonia the Lost Pyramid' immediately opens up a cavernous space where time slows and you can drift off in your mind. 'Children of the Gods' also boasts some incredibly subdued, soothing vocals which only add to the song's worlds to feel ancient as well as otherworldly and when combined with excellent production (and the lush synths and gentle rhythms the album provides quite an evocative experience. This track establishes the vibe for the album to come and invites listeners to float along to the washing machine sounds throughout.
The lead single off the album "World of Angels," introduced a chillingly captivating vocal delivery endearing the lead of the album to my soul in its sound.
The sound textures weaved together by the layers blend and mature, eventually turning into a sonic patchwork that is as complex as it is comforting. This is achieved through the resonance of domestic instruments, like the sitting and flutes, which play in accompaniment to the base of electronica, which in turn heightens the sacred mood or air of the album.

Another standout track is 'Magnetic Resonances', a beautifully constructed tune, which plays with serene chord progressions and ethereal twinkles, it's not hard to imagine its atmospheric sounds mirroring anything from sky gazing to a cosmic journey. Its slow-paced downtempo beats are a nice escape, setting the stage for tranquil and contemplative listening. There is an ethereal quality to the subtle vocal layering that truly completes the experience if listened to in an enclosed environment.

The Moon and the Seven Stars Shine throughout with their unified sound deeply pristinely produced, the professionalism in each track crafted to enhance this overall mystical, neo-romantic, magical feel.

Ever-subtle yet dominant, the vocals navigate through the surreal landscapes of the album. It's not just about the album "Voices Of the Celestial World". It is practically an invitation for the audience to close their eyes, take a deep breath in, and allow the music to answer as a warm wave crashing by.

The Moon and the Seven Stars drop an impressive debut offering of down-tempo psychill tranquility for the mind and soul. That's an album that makes an intention of lifting you up into the heavens, even if just for a short period, and making you feel closer to the stars and galaxies that it so gracefully portrays.

Towards the Within

A realm of wild darkness and tranquilizing light, Liquid Bloom and TRIBONE’s ‘Interbeing’ explores the inextricably-bound forces of the musical universe through six mystifying tracks drawn from the lands of worldly downtempo, tribal bass, and driving psychedelic electronica.

Inspired by the fast-paced soundscapes of the global dance floor, the original ‘Interbeing’ mix unleashes a barrage of mid-tempo beats overlaid with primal energy and supported by a haunting psychedelic undercurrent that resounds through each track in the EP collection. 

Without slowing down, Liquid Bloom and TRIBONE bring additional space to Interbeing’s dark atmospheres with their hypnotic and tactile “Deep Tech Mix,” while producer-duo 'Jakare' provides a tantalizing tribal house remix flavored with additions of charango and pan flute.

Maintaining the psychedelic edge of the original composition, British psybass producer 'Sigil' draws listeners into a twisted breakbeat journey that plunges deeper into the original’s shadowy tones. 

Taking a more luminous path, 'Kaya Project' guides his rendition toward uplifting territory with his signature world-fusion style, introducing stirring organic beats, seraphic vocal samples, and a soothing blend of synths and instrumentation to draw out Interbeing’s brighter elements.

Takkra is the medicinal music project created by visual artist, guitarist and producer David Vigh. Later down the line David was joined by Máté Kocsis on drums, Mr Dure on keys, Matyi Mohácsi on bass, Julcsi Szomráky, Molek Keri and Donna Terra on vocals forming a full live band and a creative community with the aim to bring listeners regenerating frequencies through sound.
